Went to Michael (not Mel, the saint) for 3 years. Always in a rush.... talks at you, not to you. Anyway, I had a filling replaced 7 months ago. When this filling started breaking off so soon, I decided to go to another dentist. In the check up, he immediately found a cavity under the new filling. My understanding is it could not have started after the filling was replaced by Michael because it was too large. Thankfully I left Dr. Cohen and avoided further problems. I am relieved I changed dentists. However, the dental hygienists and staff were great. I will miss them.

Dr Cohen replaced all my Mercury fillings with new white ones. The expertise Dr Cohen demonstrated in his work was definitely gold standard. I have had several dentists throughout my lifetime so I Believe he has advanced skills. After all he is a biological dentist also. I think some patients on this site are too quick to blame the dentist for dental issues. Name calling, negativity are rude. Reason being is the complainants were not specific in their statements to even make any comments about Dr. Cohen. I never judge someone u til I have walked in their shoes....

I saw Michael 6 years ago and he told me there was something wrong with my tooth. He is always in a hurry and I didn't really understand that the tooth was infected. A few years later I saw another one of the dentists at Dr. Cohen's office and he fixed another tooth in my mouth with a root canal but it still really hurts. I just went back to the their office and one of the dentists told me that the tooth that I originally went for is infected and has been for many years and couldn't be saved. They had to pull the tooth. Needless to say I'm very disappointed. Michael tries really hard but I don't think he's very good at what he does. I've given them a lot of chances because he's been my dentist since I was a kid but three strikes you're out.

I agree with other comments. Dr. Mel was a saint, Dr. Michael is an a-hole. Always running behind, making hygienists wait for him. All his hygienists are wonderful, hardworking ladies and deserve better. Does not treat his staff very well. Job market must be tough. Why else would the staff stay?

He is a gentle wonderful dentist always concerned about your well being. I have been going to him for at least 20 years. He tells the way it is and doesn't try to talk you into things. He is extremely knowledgable.

Dr. Michael Cohen is a gentle, professional dentist. Our family have been going to this family practice for many years, and it is a wonderful dental office. Both Dr. Cohen and his staff are a pleasure.

I haver visited Dr. Cohens office for many years and he is very professional. He explains things as he goes along. He is pleasant knowledgeable and efficient. His staff has been there for years and that says something about him.

I went here my whole childhood, I'm in my twentys now and stopped using Dr. Cohen because he is a complete a-hole!!! Honestly!!! I don't understand his problem... When I was 12 I got my tooth knocked out and had to get a new one put in. When he was doing my procedure I mentioned how it hurt and he was very rude to me and made me feel very embarrassed, I was 12 years old!!! He either is very rude, or doesn't talk at all!! His hygienists are very nice, to bad for him it must be so hard having a successful business handed down from your father and lots of money. Get over yourself and start treating your patients better before you run your business into the ground. My entire family has stopped seeing him, including my uncles, aunts and cousins. You lost a lot of money from us. Do yourself and favor and find a different dentist DONT go here!!!!

I saw Dr. Mel (Michael's dad) for 30yrs and loved him, though he can be very abrupt. I have never liked Dr. Michael and wouldn't make appointments if his dad was out of the office. Like someone else said, he doesn't take responsibility for his work, he has a cocky attitude about himself & blames others. The hygenists are wonderful though. I switched dentists as I moved away.
