inaccessible is how I can best rate them. Calling the office is a process on it's own- set a good 30m aside and be prepared to be hung up on and placed on hold numerous times before you get someone on the phone who can tell you what you cannot do and what is not available to you. Dr Spence used to be more supportive and interested in hearing what mattered to you. Now, it's all about how quick that prescription can be written and out you go- there is no care in this system anymore.

Haughty, arrogant, condescending and insulting are just a few adjectives I can use to describe Dr. Spence. He dismissed me as a patient because I was unwilling to take medication at odds with another chronic condition I had. He was interested in his specialty only and does not look at the patient as a human being with other medical issues which impact what he wants you to do. He has an ego the size of Mt. Olympus and makes me grateful that I have other options. I also thought hawking his book was unprofessional.

My husband has been cared for By Dr Spence for several years. We have found him and his staff to be very efficient . He has also been in at least 2 ongoing tests . These are always very informative times because Dr takes the time to explain what is happening. We have found the Dr to be a man of integrity in his professional life and a very caring person. It is great that he not only looks at the drugs you take but also other specifics such as food, nutrition, etc as well as the down side of medication.

Was sent to Dr. Spence following a trip to the ER for a seizure and possible Stroke. He saw me in good time and tests were ordered over the next few weeks. However I never received any response from him or his staff as to proceeding from this point. Several calls to his office were met with "We will get back to you--be patient". But after 9 weeks, still nothing. Fortunately, most of the test results were forwarded to my General Practitioner who has refered me to another neurologist.
