Dr. Banks has been a fantastic throughout the course of my wife’s Breast cancer treatment and surgery. She was very kind and understanding, explained everything clearly and demonstrated compassion. I am grateful for Dr. Banks and her team.

If I didn’t seek a second opinion I would be dead. She stated she was just making sure I was not in medical distress and sent me on my way she said even though I was in excruciating pain after appendicitis treated with antibiotic therapy. 3 weeks later find out I am full of cancer.

Top notch surgeon who gets the people side of her work is as important as the surgery. My surgery was smooth, 5 incisions are healing up well, and she took the time to talk and listen to me. Warm, kind, competent. Don't listen to these negative ratings. They just don't fit with my experience at all.

Dr. Banks was honest and caring, awknowledging my anxiety and informing me that although she doesnt know much about anxiety, my feelings were not any less important to her. Even when i had an anxiety attack in her office, she was so compassionate. She informed me about everything to expect for my hurnia surgery and all of her staff/colleagues gave me the same incredible treatment. I would recommend her to everyone and anyone needing surgery. I was recently a patient of Dr. Brie Banks in Sault Ste. Marie, On. I feel so fortunate to have had her for my surgeon on two occasions for breast cancer and gall bladder removal. She was so patient and personable and was very thorough in answering questions and explaining procedures. Post surgery she even took the time to call me at home to see how I was doing! She looks you in the eye and has a beautiful reassuring smile. She makes you feel important and builds your confidence to face whatever you need to deal with. Recently I was hospitalized for seven days for a severe soft tissue infection in my right arm. Originally, Dr. Banks saw me in the emergency department. She "checked in on me" every single day of my hospital stay. I felt important to her. She was knowledgeable, compassionate and professional. My arm is much better now and I didn't have to have surgery. Thanks, Dr. Banks!

I am a 43 year old female with no history of heart trouble. Visited Foothills Emergency March 31, 2009 with severe chest pain to the point of such shallow breathing I was near fainting. Turned out after tests I'd had a broken rib that nicked an artery. I also had pulled muscles in that same area where blood had built up between my right lung and liver. Dr. Banks attended me with such thoroughness, efficiency, care and compassion, I was literally stunned. There are no words of praise that express highly enough the excellence of Dr. Banks. 90% of the doctors I've met in my life aren't half as knowledgeable, nor one tenth as compassionate. I didn't even feel short-changed by her despite the fact it was extremely busy in there. Never really understanding the mind-body connection most physicians seem to erroneously think their skills are everything, so their uncaring snotty attitude toward patients does not effect the health of the patient. WRONG. Thank God for Doctor Banks. I am O.K. now.
