Edited previous review: Dr. Hale's basic examine was so inadequate that he did not always do a rectal exam. Consequently, he not only misdiagnosed a prostate so enlarged that 1) he was forced to stop a surgery AFTER the patient had been cut open, BUT 2) he had NO knowlege that the enlarged prostate was cancerous!!! Then, when questioned several times by the patient and family, he claimed the tumor was NOT cancerous. His final outrage was to remove himself from the care of his long-standing patient. Patient did not learn he had cancer until several weeks later, from his internist, who read the hospital report. The final outcome, after months of treatment and suffering, was that the patient, an otherwise very healthy and active man, died from "complications from prostate cancer" in St. John's Riverdale Hospital, August, 2002.
