I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews on here about how my appointment with Dr. Schep would go. It was much better then expected! The receptionist is so cheerful and always tries to help you with booking anything recommended or answering questions in person or by phone. Although the doctor was running behind schedule and I had to wait to see him, once I was in the office with him he was attentive and knowledgeable. I feel good in moving forward in my health care with Dr. Schep.

I found Dr. Schep to be very helpful and informative. My problem goes back quite a while and I have had numerous tests. He was optimistic that a good outcome was on the horizon which made me feel a lot better. Dr. Schep answered all my questions satisfactorily. I would recommend him.

After meeting this man once, I went directly back to the family Doctor and requested another referral. Pompous, Arrogant, Rude man! People go to see him because they're sick! He had no time for questions, he called it small talk. I won't waste my time going in-depth about my experience. Suffice it to say...he's horrible! Horrible! Horrible!

Given the fact that my mother had colon cancer I decided to go ahead and do a colonoscopy at the age of 23( even though everyone told me I was too young) I was originally referred to Dr. Schep for him to perform a colonoscopy on me as well as an endoscopy. Both procedures went well however I had to wait 2+ hours to see my results so I left his office because I had to get to work. I got a voicemail from him saying that the polyps he had sent for biopsy came back abnormal and that I should come back in 3-4 years to get them removed. I didn't bother going back to him so I went to another specialist that my family doctor referred me to for a second opinion. He read my pathology report that was sent to him and he was confused as to why such large sized polyps were left inside me still .. 6 months down the road I had to do ANOTHER colonoscopy to get the polyps removed that were left in. He knew waiting 3-4 years would be too late. Little did I know, after my procedure I spoke to the specialist with my results and he had said that he removed a polyp that was 4cm, one that was 2cm and also 5 other tiny ones that he burned off... I'm very disappointed that Dr Schep did not catch any of this. And if I would have waited 3-4 years who knows if it would have turned into cancer or not. Very unprofessional of Dr Schep. This is what happens when you put too much trust in one doctor to do all the right things. Obviously he missed a lot of things and who knows what would have happened if I wouldn't have gotten a second opinion.

NEVER in my life have I been made to feel so dehumanized by a member of the medical society. I wish I could merely complain about how dismissive he was toward me. I had an appointment scheduled with him for the beginning of the week but my symptoms became severe enough preceding the weekend that I went to the emergency room. I was told he was on call that day and would see me at some point. He did not see me that night and did not come to
See me until I’d been in hospital for a day and a half. From the moment he saw me in the hospital he was outrightly abrasive and condescending toward me. He told me that I needed to have my gallbladder removed but there was too much swelling from infection to do the operation. His exact words were: “ I could help you if you were a healthy person, but you are not” and” if you were healthier you wouldn’t have such severe pain”. before saying that he was cancelling my Monday appointment with him and passing me off to his colleague to treat me. I wish I could say that the terrible reviews of this man are only a few opinions but how many people have to endure his terrible attitude and complete lack of compassion for his patients?

I have to say that Dr. Shep was amazing! He took the time to explain everything to me. Never rushed me at all. The receptionist was VERY friendly. This is my second time having to see him in over a 3 year period and I have never has a problem with anyone in this office.

Dr Schep has the worst bedside manner I have even witnessed. He wouldn’t let me speak at all during my follow up appointment and snapped back at me whenever I tried to ask a question. He was rude and really did absolutely nothing to help the ongoing issues I have been having. I’ve never met a more arrogant doctor. Anytime I tried to speak he would tell me to be quiet and let him talk, expressing that he didn’t have to tell me anything and telling me that I must already know everything just because I told him his suggestions weren’t working.
I would never recommend him to anyone.

In reading some if the views regarding Dr, Shep I was a little nervous meeting him. He turned out to be an amazing Dr. He explained my situation thoroughly to me ,we discussed what options I had, increased my meds and said he would happy to see me again if my GP put in another request. Dr Shep seemed genuinely interested in me and my outcome. I left the office stess free . I would recommend Dr Shep to anyone.
