i have meet so many doctors in all my life with having a super rare lung disease, and Dr.McArdle is my all time favorite!! He is super nice and I am only 15 and he doesn't normally treat kids but he took my under his wing anyways. I was having such a hard time with my disease cause no one could figure out what was wrong with me but he made everything better and still does. He saved my life literally. He isn't one of those doctors that dont care how you feel, he actually tries to get to you and will sit down and have a regular conversation with you. I am so fortunate to have him as my pulmonary doctors and I trust him 100 percent. And when my disease came back and i was freaking out he calmed me down and told em that everything will be okay. Most of the doctors I have meet think Im to young so they talk to my mom but he actually talks to me and makes sure I understand what is going on. I love him so much

The love of my life. I have one of these rare diseases which affect my lungs and other parts of my body, actually, the disease isn't rare, the manifestations are. He has dealt with the remissions and outbreaks. He ALWAYS returns phone calls. He deals with ALL the symptoms and may have saved me from being in a wheel chair when I casually mentioned a nonpulmonary problem and he recognized that it might be connected with the high dose steroids I was on for many years. I had never heard of Steroid myopathy, just thought my weakness was due to advancing age. After testing and explanation, I had to come off all steroids, presenting a new problem of dealing with a chronic condition without being able to use the number one medication that combats it.
