I found this therapist to be unhelpful in a time of crisis. She was unable to assist me at a very crucial time, and abruptly abandoned me the night before a major holiday (without warning or prep) citing that she felt she was not helping me. She might be of great assistance to someone seeking marriage assistance, or for minor depression, but for serious mental illness I would shop around. She was also often 5-10 min late coming in for sessions in the morning, or after lunch, etc. Her approach did not work for me, and she refused to discuss issue of sexual orientation which was really important. Also there was a time when I asked her if she and I could use another approach to discussing a serious issue I was dealing with, and she became angry and told me that if I did not like her approach to the issue that I could find someone else. From that time forward, I stopped looking at her in therapy, and at others I talked to for over a year. It was very hard to overcome.
