Often feels like he's in a rush to get you in and out

I have seen Dr. Montano for a few years and find him to be extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful and caring. He really listens and does not rush to judgement. I am always surprised by how much time he gives me. His assistant Louis is helpful and courteous and responds in a very timely manner by email. I originally found Dr. Montano as the author of several ADHD studies and I like that this team is committed to ongoing research. Too many physicians can't be bothered even to read the latest research, and these guys are actually doing the research. This helps me to trust that they are keeping up and committed to following the science, not their habits.

I've been with Dr. Montano for thirty plus years. He's excellent at diagnosing physical problems. If he feels you need a specialist for a problem, he doesn't hesitate to refer you to one.

Most of the staff is unhelpful or confused. Office is unprofessional looking, i.e. desk parts repurposed, old looking. He is often indecisive and Just overall not impressed. I am changing doctors soon.

I had him as a primary care physician for years. I'm very glad I switched.

This doctor is reliable, knowledgeable, and cares far more for his patients than anyone in the healthcare profession I have previously met. It's hard to walk around giving out recommendations for a doctor randomly. I can't reccomend him enough

The new staff is not helpful at all. I miss the old front office staff. Wait times for medication refills is days. Will be looking for new doctor

I will never go back to this office again. The front desk nurse/receptionis was nice but not very profressional. Blantantly told me that Dr Montano treats her like sh!t. Yes she told me this on my first visit, should have seen the red flag. Instead of helping me deal with or teat my depression and anxiety, Dr Montano reccomended that I lie about a depressive episode in order to get into a drug trial study. When patients are stating that he helped them get the med they needed at no cost, he really just got them into a trial where the drugs may or may not have been fda approved. Also, Dr Montano nor his staff ever bothered to verify my phone number. He called my husband, my parents ( where I have not lived in 15 years) and finally reached me via email. When I returned his calls on various occasions the answering service informed me he was out of the office, when it was clearly within normal business hours. I finally ended this profressional, or not so professional, relationship via email to which he has not replied nor apologized for his completely unprofessional behavior.

Excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly doctor. Has excellent bedside manner and is willing to spend the time you need with him without feeling rushed. Would recommend as a primary care as well as helping to treat depression. Best Dr I have interacted with so far and is worth the wait to have a visit with.
