Dr. Montano has been very helpful to me. I do not mind waiting, because he is excellent at diagnosing problems and getting me in to see speciasts quickly. He usually spends ample time with me. Excellent treatment is what he is all about.

Brought my mother in law in because she was having back pain, he told her it was acid reflux, gave her a prescription and sent her on her way. The next morning she was rushed to the hospital and was in full cardiac arrest. This man should not be practicing medicine. The ER told us that her symptoms were clearly cardiac symptoms and he should have done an EKG, he just is always in such a rush to get you out of his office. When we called his office to let them know what was happening, he never even called us back or visited her in the hospital.

Dr. Montano is an excellent clinician. He is both knowledgable and empathetic. He has guided me through medical problems and when my Mom was sick he helped me cope. I needed extra time for my visits and he never rushed me out of the room. I have had other Dr.'s who wouldn't see you if you were late, but Dr. Montano's office is flexible. He even takes time to teach other physicians as an expert in his field. THe front desk is great - they helped me get in a program to get my medications paid for when I was out of work.

I would like to start out by saying that Dr. Montano is very intelligent and knowledgeable and is a good Doctor in that respect. Unfortunately, he spends the majority of his time doing lectures and traveling. He is a great doctor to consult with but not a good doctor to have as your regular GP. You can never get a hold of him as he is only in the office a couple times a month and you are frequently dumped on his Nurse Practitioner. When he is there he is always late and rushed and not able to spend an adequate amount of time with his patients. I have waited over an hour for him on many occasions as if my time in not valuable. This might seem like a minor detail to some but his office is very outdated. It leaves me wondering why he does not put any time into keeping the office and medical equipment up to date... I hope some people will find this review helpful.

Dr. Montano always seems preoccupied with other things. I've been a patient for 15 years and really have never felt satisfied. I'm searching for a new DR.
