I saw Dr. Hamid recently again after having last seen him about a decade earlier. I forgot just how much of a decent human being this surgeon is. He's an old school surgeon who prides himself in diagnosis by interviewing and physical observation. We had a lovely conversation about bureaucracy and administrative burden. He said that he used to see 4x as many patients per day, but now spends 25% of his time seeing patients and 75% filling out the paperwork. He decried this development in our healthcare system.

I have been seeing Dr.Hamid for hearing loss for a number of years. I had to cancel one of my appointments because of my moms passing. When I eventually got back into seeing him, he passed on his condolences for me, and talked to me about my moms passing. He was so genuine in consoling me, it was very comforting. He could tell it was really bothering me, he sat and talked to me for a long time, like a friend would. That meant so much to me. I recently had a MRI ordered from him, he called me on a Sunday night, to let me know, everything was ok. I don't know of many doctors who call you on weekend night like he did. We need more caring Doctors like him. A+ Wonderful man and Physician

I contacted Dr. Hamid after recurrent symptoms in my left ear were not being resolved. I was at the end of my rope with being put on antibiotics and brushed off. The first appointment with Dr. Hamid, he told me there was a serious issue. He wasted no time having imaging done and covered all bases. He was amazing and reassuring and spent time explaining everything to me. He referred me to Sunnybrook in Toronto because he was confident that is where I would I needed to be in case of any complications. I am now 6 weeks post-op and continue to se Dr. Hamid for my after care. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. He really cares and I feel better than I have in years.

Dr. Hamid saved my dads life 20 years ago when his throat suddenly closed and blocked his airway. He told us that night he knew there was cancer there and he wouldn’t stop till he found it. He kept dad alive for 2 years and tried very hard to give him back the ability to swallow before he died. When we called him to say he had passed he told us he would never forget my dad and he said he treated him as if he was his own. We will never forget Dr Hamid and are forever grateful for the two extra years we got with dad only because of him.

I am posting this years after seeing this "doctor" Can't say enough bad things about this quy....He has Dr. in front of his name...but he's no Doctor when it comes to helping people....told me anyone that writes symptoms down on paper is obsessed with their symptoms. In my asking him questions, he questioned me if I was the doctor or if he was. I would not recommend this guy for anyone.....

I lost my hearing in my right ear years ago thinking it was going yo be a temporary problem. My mother needed a hearing aid and when I took her to Dr. Hamid I happened to mention it to him. He said he'd check it right there and then and told me I had a tumor and arranged for me to go to Winnipeg for MRI. The tumor was/is not malignant and very tiny but inoperable and has not grown in over 20 years . Dr. Hamid is very friendly and knowledgeable. He explains things clearly. I've finally had to get a hearing aid for my left ear. I recommend Dr. Hamid highly.
