Dr. Kroop has cared for my parents and sister and now me. I was touched at his compassion when my sister was ill and in the hospital. I still remember the 3 of us singing "she'll be coming around the mountain" in those last days.

Dr. Kroop has been a fantastic doctor for my husband and myself. Although we do have to wait sometimes, there are times when we do not have to wait either. He has seen me through so many things, and properly diagnosed and referred me when necessary to wonderful doctors. He has a wonderful bedside manner, takes time with us to explain things if needed. His knowledge is extensive as well. One of the best doctors we have ever had! Again, he is a wonderful doctor!

Ive been to Dr Kroop two times and he is... Crabby, Impersonal, doesn't return message (he or his staff) I don't know who the lovely people are that are writing these reviews but I can only guess they are friends and family of Dr Kroop. I had a flue and he gave me an antibiotic which gave me bad side effects. I told Dr Kroop and he said "well I don't know what to do" and I said "well, give me another antibiotic!" I should have added "and please don't charge me for the visit when I am telling you what to do"! Anyway he took lots of tests which was good but then I couldn't get him to call me and tell me what the tests said. I left 6 messages for him and his staff. Very annoying!

from a letter sent in July 2011:Your office has promised for six months to contact me with the results of my examination on January 20, 2011, but in spite of my five phone messages and three visits to your office, you still have not contacted me. Although last week you sent me a bill for "balance due." I'll pay this when you actually deliver the services for which I've paid. I think I have been patient long enough, and am now cc'ing the Better Business Bureau and the American Medical Association. You and your office have reneged on the following promises. January 20 - "The doctor will call you next week to go over your results." February 15 - "We'll mail your charts to you; a nurse will call you tomorrow." April 6 - "I'll call you tomorrow." (Dr. Kroop, in person, in his office.) I can only hope that when you do contact me, it is with the news of a good bill of health.

Dr. Kroop and Dr. Cutter (I swear it...) were my docs for about 5 yrs when I lived in CA. I'd recommend either one to anyone. Theya re both wonderful. Dr. Kroop is one of the most thorough diagnosticians I've ever met and I miss him now that we live out of state. Dr. Cutter always took my calls, even though he wasn't my regular practiioneer, if Dr. K wasn't working. I sent many co-workers and family members to this office and never heard even one negative comment. He reminded me of 'bear in the big blue house' with his relaxed gait and tall frame. I miss ya Dr. K...keep smiling dude!!!

I came for a new patient appointment and had to wait 30 minutes before the slow staff behind the counter realized "oh, new patient, give him paperwork", although I asked when signing in. At 30 minutes there was still no discernible horizon in sight as to when I would see the doctor. Oh, and he shares his waiting room with pediatricians it seems so the waiting room, in which you wait forever, is jammed with kids; you get the rest of the story. This is good for the elderly patients Kroop sees? Come on. Bypass this practice.

As previously mentioned this is a very busy office. Dr. Kroop is very stoic. Spends little time with this patients. I would like to feel that he listens, but he is a man of little words. His nurse is much less the same. I had some major tests done, after many calls to the office it took over 3 weeks for a response. I tried Kroop, bc I was unhappy with the other doctors at Valley Health. Not sure what to do now. If you enjoy being treated like cattle, then Valley Health is for you.
