I had a prostectomy in 2005 and it was done old school because technology had not advanced yet. That was 14 years ago. I was only 45 years old. I'm now 59 and I have no leaking and with no drugs I am able to still get an erection. Dr.Keane Obviously knows what he is doing.

I visited Dr Keane for a second opinion. He was recommended by my primary urologist. Found him to be knowledgeable, direct, goes out of his way to explain, helpful, good communicator, and like most surgeons confident in his ability which I found reassuring. He agreed with my primary urologist finding, encouraged me with his confidence in my doctor, and offered to see me at anytime for additional follow up or questions. He's a surgeon so he is, like every other surgeon, bias toward surgical treatment but vsry openly discusses all available options. Personally I thought he was great! Since I'm on active surveillance, if my condition changes, I very well may see him again for an opinion regarding treatment decisions.

A great doctor. He doesn't sugar coat everything like some tend to do, he tells it to you like it is and shows he is willing to help.

The absolute worst doctor there is. Has a very "uncaring" attitude. Does not perform the most advanced prostectomy. He is very old school.

Dr. Keane was recommedned by a friend that had prostate cancer surgery by him. My expereince with him was terrific. He was extremely pleasant and gave me all the options for my course of care. I have a world of confidence in him as my Urologist.

Dr. Keane was very concerned, very helpful and took as much time as I needed to explain everything in detail, asked what we thought and in the end took the time to make sure we had all the informaiton we needed. We never felt pressured.

WARNING! This "doctor" is an absolute A-hole! He is condesending, rude, and arrogant. He talks down to patients and their spouses. If you are ever diagnosed with prostate cancer - don't EVER go to him. He will make you feel worse just by his attitude.
