L4,L5,S1 fusion still only 3 months out so hopefully a full recovery. Prior surgery they spent good quality time with me. Post op never saw Dr in the hospital and have seen him once since surgery. Still having pain and was told to go to a pain clinic who’s next available appointment is 5 months out and reluctantly given a week supply of low dose pain meds. Cancelled appointments at the last minute by the PA totally unhappy with my post op care.

Dr Scott fixed my spine and got me walking again. His office and PA were amazing, and I would recommend anyone needing surgery go to him in a heart beat.

A wonderful person and a highly competent surgeon with great bedside manners. I had laminectomy one afternoon by him, was up two our after waking up and went home the next morning. The nagging low-back pain was gone immediately, and I have not taken ANY pain medication after the surgery.

Dr Wachhorst is phenomenal. he is very knowledgable, very honest and not pushy. he performed an L4/L5 discectomy and laminectomy to cure terrible, chronic sciatica on my right side. I'm very happy to report, I'm 95% pain free. He changed my life for the better and he and his staff are great to work with.

I am seeking more information on Dr. Wachhorst. He was highly recommended by a nurse who works with him.

He certainly didn't care about my pain level in the post operative phase of my lumbar laminectomy, however since the surgery 15 months now I am pain free & can do anything I want. He promised me 95% success on the surgery & so far that is what I have. 95% of the time I am 95% pain free. Good surgeon, bedside manner terrible. I could have used a change of pain meds in the hospital but didn't have enough wherewithal to ask for it since the Dilaudid had me out of my mind & in great pain. So I paid the price, good outcome on the surgery , but look at what I had to go through to get it.

I was told I needed urgent, multi-level surgery by another neurosurgeon and, in complete understanding, the surgeon suggested I seek a second opinion to be comfortable with the recommendation. That's when I contacted Dr. Wachhorst's office for the second opinion. The office gave me a date 6 wks out! Then they gave me a run around saying they couldn't even consider an earlier date without a direct referral for Dr. W to review, which I provided. Guess what--they called me back with exactly the same date. It's hard to come to any other conclusion than they are not interested in helping patients or other surgeons if there's little in it for them.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL neurosurgeon. . . a master of the art and science of medicine. I am a health care provider myself and would not recommend any other neurosurgeon in the area except Dr. Wacchorst!

Initial office visit, he gave me a very good handshake and was extremely knowledgable. Ultimately the choice is mine to have surgery or not. He wasn't pushy like some other MD's are. I never in my life had a doctor spend a whole hour with but he did. Explaining to me everything I needed to know. Even though I am an RN and never met him, the initial visit was Primo.
