My husband and I would like to express our immense gratitude to Dr.Salim Aziz. He’s not just a brilliant surgeon who perform very difficult 9-hour long surgery and saved my husband’s life, he’s amazingly attentive doctor who visited my husband late at night after he was done with the surgeries, who was always taking his time to talk to me and my son, guide and reassure us. We consider our family very fortunate to have met this incredible doctor and beautiful human being!
We’ll be grateful to Dr.Aziz forever!

I had a heart valve repair about 4 months ago at GWU Hospital. Dr Aziz performed the surgery.Dr.Aziz was very skillful, caring, professional and helpful throughout the operation period. I especially appreciate his attention to my wife who was more worried about the proceedure than I was. Since I'm still here I guess that I have survived!

This doctor has an outstanding bedside manner. He treated me with courtesy, respect and caring during every aspect of my office visit and hospital stay. In addition, he spent considerable time with my family members both in answering questions and reassuring them at every stage of the process when I had my heart surgery. Dr. Aziz even gave us his private cell phone number in case we had any questions or concerns that we felt needed _his_ immediate attention. We did end up needing to call him, late at night, and he continued to be kind, caring and responsive to our concerns. It was wonderful to be treated as a person and not as a "just another case." His training which has included Addenbrokes Hospital (Cambridge University, UK) and Stanford University, his experience as a heart transplant surgeon as well as a general cardiothoracic surgeon, 125+ publications, his clinical knowledge, surgical skill and bedside manner combine to make him an outstanding and compassionate surgeon.
