I have been with Dr. Ballard since he started his practice and wouldn't have another doctor. He has always listened to my concerns and has been very helpful in getting me where I need to be. His bedside manner to me is great. Doctors are very busy and don't have all day to spend with one patient but he does his best to get to the root of whatever is ailing you. He always has a smile when he enters the room and makes me feel comfortable. He is not a pill pusher which I love but if you have to have something he will make sure he gets it right even if it takes trying many things. He is a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Ballard. It's hard to find a doctor who actually listens to you during your appointment, and shows real empathy. He's also not a "pill pusher" as many Drs are now. I always know I can give him my opinion / disagree (very rarely - sometimes you just know your body more than your PCP does). With all that said.... the only negative I have is with the rest of the staff. His nurses over the last several years have been rude and has slowly started to make me think if I should go look for another PCP. If you can get past the rudeness of the staff, then I swear he is worth it. (FYI Appts are booked, so unless it's crucial, appts are scheduled far in advance, but he's worth the wait. - DO NOT go see Dr. Kirk at the same facility. That Dr. is the absolute worse and you will feel worse leaving then you did going in....)

He can be rude and distant. He is very judgemental about patients on Disability. He does not approve of it. He only does the basics. He will not accept even urgent calls from his patients. Ge has a cold and uncaring demeanor. He will cut you off mid-sentence and is a horrible listener. We went to him for 6 years because it was convenient but we are tired of his aloof attitude and his opinions on non-medical issues. He is nit sympathetic towards chronic pain patients yet claims to be a Fibromyalgia specialst. He has never mentioned new treatments or research. You have to ask him for information and hope he's in a good enough mood to respond. There are much more caring doctors out there. Avoid this one at all costs.

Great bedside manner. Always enters with a smile and handshake. Very attentive. Listens to your concerns and answers any questions you may have. Very knowledgeable and has properly diagnosed me since the year 2000. All the specialists that he's referred me to have a similar bedside manner.

"Poor bedside manner"...I am not sure how you could ever get that. He's a great doctor, and has one of the best bedside manners I've seen. I guess if you were expecting a someone to coddle you then you then look further, but he's a great doctor. I'll agree with the nurses bit.

Devon Ballard is a Great Doctor His nurses need some improvement. Doctor ballard is a good Doctor though. The only thing that is wrong with him is that he has to send you to some crappy specialist sometimes when he is better than they are most of the time. Great doctor.

Poor bedside manner, full of himself, made me uncomfortable. Will get a second opinion of his diagnosis, which I believe is wrong.
