I’ve seen Dr MacVicar twice in the last year or so. Both excellent experiences. He saw my 4 month old in ER for cough and breathing difficulty. He was very friendly and thorough, and took his time explaining things to look out for and ways to treat the symptoms. I felt confident leaving and also comfortable going back if needed. We are lucky to have him.

I was over the Emergency room at cape breton Regional hospital last night, seen this Doctor, his bedside manners was terrible, seem like he was in a Rush, he wasn't very talkative or pleasant, instead of sending me for an extra on my chest, because i was having problems breathing, and very flushed in the face, but instead, he just gives me a prescription, still not feeling the best today, if i had to pick any Dr in the ER, it would be Dr Catherine, also know as Dr Buhariwalla, she's one of the best going, she makes sure she checks u out really good before leaving you go....but this Dr here, is totally opposited....

Amazing , I am sooo happy I got this guy in the ER I am sure it would have needs much worse if I did not get him ! He was professional and amazing to have work on me ! Very knowledgeable !

He was the doctor in ER when I was taken in having a heart attack. His approach was no nonsense, telling me I was having a heart attack, so let's put a stop to it. That remark made me feel things were going to be all right and my concern went away. He was very competent, and because I am writing this he was right, he did put a stop to my attack. I have always felt that his quick assessment and response saved my life. As far as I am concerned if I am ever taken into ER I want him on duty.

Great ER doctor. He and Dr. Rose MacKay would be my choices if I could pick the Dr. on duty in a medical emergency.

He is a good doctor as far as emergence is concerned. I wish we have more doctors like him. I like him very much.
