He correctly diagnosed a rare viral infection (herpetic whitlow) after 2 doctors wrongly assumed it was a bacterial infection. He was calm, very sympathetic, and explained the type of infection and course of treatment very well. He avoided unnecessary diagnostics and medication. It was a real blessing that he was on call that day! Thank you!

If I could provide a zero I would. Issaquah Swedish needs to monitor Doctor, Jon-Pierre Pazevic closely. As his ED patient, he didn't listen to me, he was dismissive and worst of all he charts that he assesses you but he does not. As evidence by, I came in with excruciating right shoulder/neck pain that radiated to my elbow, he documented the left side. I wouldn't leave the hospital until he redocumented the correct site. He dismissed me when I asked for an MRI of my cervical and thoracic spine by saying he didn't think I needed one. I only asked because he never did any type of focused hands on assessment of me. He didn't check my range of motion, check my strength nor ever even touch my body. He was able to get me an MRI which he reviewed of only my thoracic spine and when I asked him why my cervical was missing, he said because it isn't where your pain is at. I became pretty annoyed / snarky and told him I felt dismissed and I asked if he was now going to tell me my pain scale too.
I'm under the care of another MD who requested a copy of my MRI and when he received it, the report still reflected I was seen for my left side. Additionally, I received the final documented MD assessment from Swedish and per Dr. Jon-Pierre, he documents he did a head-toe with a focused assessment of the area of concern. Again, he never touched me, therefore, he didn't assess me (no hand palpation/no stethoscope/no otoscope etc.) Lastly, the evidence that he didn't listen to me proven by his original charting that all of my pain was on the left side. He dismissed me twice; first when I asked for the MRI and said I didn't need it, secondly when reviewing the MRI but leaving out cervical area because per his biased subjective judgement it is not where the pain is at.
If you have something wrong related to pain, and you’re seeking some sort of resolution, do not go to Swedish Issaquah. You may end up with Dr. Jon-Pierre. He left me feeling icky, like I was only at the ED to seek narcotic drugs. Not at all something I do. After receiving another MRI, all of my issues are in fact related to my cervical spine.

It's hard to give Dr Pazevic the benefit of even one star! Having four kids a wife with MS and myself having chronic kidney stones we have been to the emergency room multiple times over the years. My visit with Dr Pazevic was hands-down the worst experience ever! This doctor lacked professionalism was not thorough and was out right rude. I went to the emergency room in agony with a hurt shoulder. Rather then examining my shoulder even once, this doctor ordered a chest x-ray and sent me home crying in pain. He didn't listen and before any examination made the determination that my visit was strictly for pain medication. I pleaded with the doctor to give me anti-inflammatory and Cortizone and not pain medicine, neither did he provide for me despite the fact that I was on the floor crying in pain. I left Swedish hospital and went to a different ER and was diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder and torn rotator cuff. It amazes me that somebody lacking such medical and people skill could even stay employed! Good luck to you if this is your doctor!

ER visit. Did not listen to the patient. We felt he was rude and no help what-so-ever. Even shut the patient down when he tried to explain the type of pain telling him the tests revealed different. This is from someone that does not take medication and was not looking for "a refill".

He was fairly quick, when I seen him in the ER at Stevens Hospital. However, I went in for an allergic reaction to a medication. He started by go on and on about how I needed to work on my Diabetes Management, I've had Diabetes 12 Yrs, I didn't need any lessons. I was there for an ALLERGIC REACTION! He spoke about that for about 10 mins then asked to see my tongue, said it wasn't swollen therefore, there was no allergic reaction, and that "it is all in my head", and then advised me to CONTINUE the medication. I felt as if I was trying to breathe though a straw, I was having pain EVERYWHERE, my tongue and lips were numb and tingling along with mood changes and itching that I was having, I also had Migranes. None of this counted as an "allergic reaction" however on the paper work he sent me home with, it stated that if I had any Numbness, trouble breathing, itching, soreness, or tingling in the hands or feet, to come back to the ER. He and this ER visit was a complete waste of time.
