Dr Marra is a GREAT doctor. She has improved my health greatly in the five years I have seen her.
She tells you up front that the road to recovery will likely be long and expensive, but the alternative is much worse.
She has a classic east coast attitude of straight talk, no BS.

I don't like to think what my quality of life would be like, if I hadn't found Dr Marra.

Never trust any doctor who tells you:
"you don't have lyme disease, your test for lyme came back negative"
UNLESS they list themselves as "lyme literate"

In February 2019, my immune system went out of control causing what was a downward spiral of loss of use of legs and muscles, peripheral neuropathy and migrating muscle pain, and in general, all the nerves in my body going haywire. After 60 days on testing from my neurosurgeon; trips to rheumatology and various nerve conduction studies that show a progression of deadening nerves; 5 MIR’s; 2 Ultrasounds; and several x-rays; conventional medicine gave up. Luckily, I had a friend who had and continues to have chronic Lyme, she directed me IGeneX for a more comprehensive testing. Sure enough, I came back with exposure to Lyme and a co-infection Bartonella. Fortunately, my Lyme expert friend also knew of Dr. Marra, whom I went to see. Dr. Marra recognized my symptoms immediately without even looking at the IGeneX test results. She said I was a 7 out of 10, which was pretty bad. She started me on aggressive program of medications and within a few weeks the migrating pain and tingling all over my body was gone. It is now 8 months later and I’m still taking lots of meds, but my body has responded very well with strength and energy coming back to about 85%. It is a slower process that I would like but definitely have gotten better month by month. I can only say good things about Dr. Marra and more importantly is how much she knows about Lyme and its co-infectious diseases and how to treat them.

Dr. Marra has provided our family with nothing short of a miracle. Our two little girls have been transformed from lethargic, moody, weak, overly sensitive, over stimulated basket cases into healthy, vibrant, thriving children thanks to Dr. Marra’s expertise in tick borne illness. She was trained by the BEST doctor for pediatric tick borne illness and has also tremendously helped me and my husband. We fly from out of state to see her - that is how amazing she is.

I was prepared to write a gazillion word review of Dr Marra but to my relief others with Lyme and coinfections have been very thorough about Dr Marra and her vast knowledge of what to do to help those of us with tick borne illnesses (In my case Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia and louse borne remitting/relapsing fever). Every appointment with her is exactly on time, she's thorough. clear, and after listening she has a plan for the next 4 to 6 weeks. A crucial factor that makes Dr Marra great is that she has had, and recovered from, Lyme. I don't feel crazy when I describe the odd and debilitating symptoms I'm experiencing. After 26 years (I was bit around 1990) I had lost hope I'd ever feel better. I have been with Dr Marra for 7 months and am stable. I'm still not cured but I'm better, functioning, and know I'm in good hands. Don't give up hope. Dr. Marra can and wants to help you get better.

Dr. Marra is an extremely well informed Lyme literate physician. She is passionate about providing the very best care possible for her patients. She has a very efficient office staff, which helps to get necessary things accomplished. This is pretty rare in most offices. All in all I give Dr. Marra an A+.

I saw her for lyme disease and because my case was complicated she fired me like a hot potatoe. In fact my case wasn't even that complicated but I just was asking questions and she didn't like that. There was no referal to another Dr, no advice, no followup but just a quick heave-ho out the door. She knows it takes months and much difficulty finding a new lyme Dr but she didn't care about me. Dr Marra does know lyme disease and is thorough but she likes you submissive cause she is in charge.

I have been seeing Dr. Marra for about 4 months for Lyme and co-infections and seen vast improvement. I was diagnosed with Lyme over 6 years ago and did 2 years of treatment with a Lyme literate doctor. After treatment, I continued to feel terrible and had multiple and severe autoimmune disorders. I was told that my Lyme had been treated and that these symptoms were related to my autoimmune disorders and I was put on various medications to manage them. After years of suffering, with my sysmptoms increasing in severity, I went to see Dr. Marra who told me that I was not treated for Lyme and co-infections comprehensively and that these infections were most likely still active in my system. Lo and behold, tests proved her to be 100 % correct as I tested positive for Lyme and 5 co-infections. I started her protocol, which includes prescription drugs and copious amounts of supplements and am beginning to feel a great deal better. Her protocol is not for the faint of heart as it is rigorous and you must be 100% committed to getting better. But, if you are compliant, you WILL get better. She is incredibly knowledgeable and keeps abreast of all the latest developments and research for this epidemic disease. She is passionate about making people well. Her assistant is both highly compassionate and professional. Her assistant is very knowledgeable about the disease as well and I have called her many times with questions that she was able to answer on the spot. I have since referred 2 other people to Dr Marra for treatment because I believe 100% in her ability to heal people from this terrible disease.
