I had a colonoscopy at Lions Gate Hospital Dr Lewis attending
He did a great job - discussed the procedure and although busy took time to talk with me beforehand.
I can home the same day with no after effects after having 4 small polyps removed.

Called this office several times last week to find out about my Monday appointment ( I was told that Dr Lois might be in surgery on Monday but office will confirm) , no one returned my call, finally on Monday morning my call was answered by a very rode receptionist who kept yelling " we are busy office and you are wasting my time" , she kept barking on and on for no reason and I kept quiet because she wouldn't let me talk! what a B....! I would kick her out if she was my employee . Bad attitude of staff usually comes from the doctor him/herself, if the doctor is a caring and patient oriented professional (not a money grabber), then she/ he will train the staff in a professional manner, this office is noting but unprofessional people barking at you like never seen before!

Poor bedside manner. My double hernia surgery that he did has left me with excessive chronic pain for the past 6 months.I am awaiting further diagnosis and treatment somewhere else. I would not use this surgeon.

I had Hernia surgery 4 months ago. The night I had the procedure I experienced terrible pain and again the next morning, so I went to Lions Gate emergency. Dr. Lewis was in the hospital but did not respond when consulted. I saw him a few days later and his lack of concern was troubling. Something was impinging on a nerve, his response was that sometimes happens. when asked if it would go away, he responded that it could be chronic. I have just had an ultrasound and saw my Dr. again and learned the repair was incomplete, insufficient or botched. I am now in daily discomfort and am waiting for another specialist at another hospital to get my hernia repair, repaired. Failing grade!

Terrible bedside manner. He seems to always be rushing and not willing and/or able to answer questions. He has never offered any advice or information on my condition at all-l have to look it up online and fill in the blanks with guesses for what l should be getting from the professional. I will not be seeing him anymore.

Dr. Richard Lewis is an amazing surgeon. He operated on me and took my gallbladder out with minimal discomfort. The incisions are ever so small and not noticeable after only 3 weeks.
Well done Dr. Lewis. 5 Stars all the way!
