Tony had been my GP for over 20 years. Saw me through 4 pregnancies over 10 years. Brilliant man. Brilliant Dr. It could be 6 months between visits and he’d recall issues my children had and he would ask about their lives, how they were going at school etc. He recently retired and I’m hard pressed finding another GP like him.

Dr. Anthony Frederick Coetzee RETIRED 31 Dec 2022 at age 76YO DOB 1946. Got Q Fever which antibiotics could not beat. Was a GP in Gold Coast Australia and came to Toowoomba "because of divorce". At Hooper Centre Toowoomba till 28 July 08. Then he solo practiced at Garden Town mall (the old Grand Central mall) with 2nd wife Susan Coetzee as admin. Worked with 3 other Doctors & 3 administration (not Susan) at Bakers Family Medical Centre Toowoomba 12 June 14 - 31 Dec 22. Reprimands: No. He said "47 YEARS AGO till 31/12/22 I JUST QUALIFIED AS A DOCTOR in South Africa. 25yrs - 32yrs in Australia." No reprimands ahpra 13/1/23. Was always booked out 3 weeks in advance. Was always timely and proficient & not strict or close-minded over the last 12 years. Liked golf, gardening, and walking. His first wife, Jan Barrett-Coetzee gave 2 daughters Gina & Jeanne, each of whom had no biological children. Dr. A. Coetzee & Susan would look after at least one aboriginal child in their home over the entire weekend as late as 2019. Gladly giving them back Monday morning!

Dr Coetzee has been my GP for approximately 13 years and has looked after my health and well-being in the most professional and caring way possible. He has seen me through illnesses and personal loss and has never let me down. Fantastic GP and an absolute gentleman.

The best GP I have been to in over 50 years. He is very knowledgable and competent, very thorough, caring and friendly. In addition, I have found his reception staff very friendly and helpful.
