Bloomquist swept me under-the-mat after SERIOUS post-op complications. He is an arrogant, rushed man running a cookie-cutter assembly line, only with peoples teeth and faces. No computer measurements pre-op, he held a ruler and a protractor "in-the-air" against my jaw. Close enough! Now put a saw in this guy's hands! He was said to be 'the best' by more than one referral. Maybe 20 years ago, certainly not today. To add insult to injury, His wife is in the dental field and (after my complications and resulting oral disfigurement) was at one of my Doctor's Offices as an observer - she took a keen, keen interest in wanting to look over the shoulder of my Dr to 'see' all the ruin. At this low point in my life, after so much damage done her cold clinical curiosity made me feel like a lab rat. The person working on me kept her away during subsequent appts. Don't get surgery if you can help it; if you do don't use this man. I now have 4 teeth that are toast & missing front gums.

dr. Bloomquist has been amazing during this process. I just had my surgery in March 2010, but started the process last year. My crappy insurance did not cover the surgery but thankfully my husband's insurance covered most of it. Dr. B answered all my questions and was very attentive. His staff is hit or miss. The person doing the pre authorizations last year did not seem as "with it" as I would have hoped but overall they are good. Dr. B has been willing to answer all my questions, and I went in with a long list. Even when I was done asking he made sure there wasn't anything else. He is very efficient and clearly an expert in his field - there was no doubt about his skills based on how he presented the information and himself.

Dale Bloomquist is dismissive and arrogant. He made me feel like my questions were a waste of his time. I'm getting jaw surgery that will alter my face forever- of course I'm going to ask a lot of questions! Also, he has no before and after pictures to show you AND no technology that can show you what kind of results the surgery will give you. What if he thinks what I should look like is different than what I want to look like after surgery? He doesn't treat his patients with respect and he rushes through his appointments. I'm going with a different surgeon!

I was referred to Dr. Bloomquist for jaw surgery. He and his staff were very unwilling to take the necessary steps to help fight my insurance to get it covered and extremely nasty to me. He was supposed to extract my wisdom teeth in preparation for my jaw surgery. On the day of the surgery, he had me sedated, then came into the office and told me due to the issues with insurance and how much time I was taking of his staff, that his staff was tired of dealing with me etc. that he was not going to do my wisdom tooth extraction.I was ALREADY SEDATED!This is highly unethical and dangerous. These were strong drugs and I suffered for 2 days after the drugs, because he was so unethical that he thought it appropriate that I be sedated only for him to throw me out of his office. Horrible bedside mannor too. It felt extremely violating to be unecessarily sedated by a doctor than coldly thrown out of his office.
