Dr. Birnie does not have any staff in her office, no one to greet you, but I will say she is very prompt in meeting with you. I was very pleased in her knowledge and help I received from her. She has been the only one to be exact in her diagnosis of me. I also love that she is Christian.

I've been to see Dr. Birnie twice (months- year each time) in the last decade. I had been to other councellors in the past to deal with my incest in my early and mid twenties and for marital discord and divorce family planning about a decade ago. With these other counsellors i never felt as comfortable as i did with Dr. Birnie to share my rawness and brokeness. It was so great to finally have a Christian pyschologist who coud understand and help me work through my spiritual distress both with dealing with my incest and divorce but also with helping to identify during a major depession that i suffered from dysthymia. The work we did together as a team did not occur in just the one hour sessions but also in the homework she provided me with; books to read and exercises to try. I became a more self-confident person. More importantingly she helped to teach me that i am one of God's own and therefore i am lovable and worthy. I e loved sharing a prayer and a hug at the end of each session.

I went in to have assistance on my personal issues but my marriage was ripped apart as my husband and I are in the process of reconciliation and she advised very strongly not to do so...I left very confused, frustrated and upset.
