Dr Wasson is a very observant and skilled physician. She uses her brain rather than (only) relying on expensive lab tests. This is not only faster and cheaper, but many times much better for her patients.

She handily diagnosed the source of a serious chronic problem that I was having, that (for years) the regular local "doctors" wrote off as "ingrown hair follicles", in under two minutes with only a simple UV light and her brain.

Unlike most doctors I've met, she looks for and treats the actual cause (if possible) instead of just treating the outward symptoms a person might have.

My wife and I have each gone to Dr. Wasson twice in the last year. I had recently gone to another M.D. at a standard hospital and clinic and was charged $160 for a visit with no exam, and no suggestion for follow up on my problem. Not only was Dr. Wasson friendly and warm, she was as competent as any doctor I have seen in the last 60 years. In fact, today her exam, diagnosis, and treatment options were so much better than the local $160 deal, that I would be glad to pay the $160 to her, but since we don't have insurance, but instead are part of a Christian Share Ministry, her $50 charge for a thorough exam was quite a relief. I think the best words to describe Dr. Wasson are: affordable, competent, sweet, knowledgable, and refreshing.

Dr Rutten-Wasson is such a blessing to our family. She does not over react and order extra testing when it is not needed. She knows the very latest research and begins with the least restrictive treatments first. She actually cared for me during two very critical health issues. I would HIGHLY recommend her!

What can I say... I should have been going to Dr Wasson for the last 10 years now, instead of paying for the over inflated prices (and the poor health care provided) at the local regular clinics/hospitals. She also clued me in (inadvertently) on the big "markup" that clinics/hospitals make on blood tests. I.e., the local clinics will charge you over $300+ for a lipid profile test (not to mention the $200+ to see the Dr. for 10~15 minutes), a test that can be had for only $35 if you go directly to the lab yourself, and pay cash (direct access lab). That's nearly a 1000% markup I saved by going to her. And the kicker is, it's the EXACT same lab my local clinic uses... Dr. Wasson's manner and expertise also impressed me. I was worried about blocked arteries, but by using her keen observational skills, she put many of my fears to rest(complete with a layman's explanation of how she came to that diagnosis); vs using expensive & invasive tests. Bottom line, best Dr I've ever seen!
