Dr. Fahoum was excellent. Very professional and really cared about my heart issues. I was referred by my GP for an ECG and nothing else but was recommended some other tests that Dr. Fahoum suggested. The ECG looked good but it was through the extra tests (Holter monitor) that caught some skipped heart beats. If it wasn't for Dr. Fahoum trying to look at the full picture, I would have never been properly diagnosed with PVC's. He took his time and through his proactive approach, saved my life. Thank you Dr. Fahoum and the rest of the Cardio Connect team. Most people would think that these extra tests are so he can make extra billings but why wouldn't you want a full picture of your heart health? Because of the extra tests, he found some issues with my heart. I would be happy to refer anyone to Dr. Fahoum because he truly cared about finding what could be wrong. THANK YOU!!!

My teenage daughter, who is very fit, has been unable to exercise lately due to chest pains while working out. Dr. Fahoum and his experienced staff were able to assist her using their state of the art equipment and extensive knowledge in this area.

Referred by GP as “it would only take a week” to get into to see him. Although he sent me for an echo that diagnosed a failing valve, he told me as I was on a treadmill “ you were born with a defect, you will need open heart surgery within five years” and promptly left the room. Needless to say I was stunned. Returned in two weeks with my husband to get more information as I was obviously concerned and felt I deserved some kind of explanation regarding my health. He was rude and did not even sit down and offer an explanation just stated he already explained everything to me, come back in a year and left the room. I have since been referred to the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Clinic at the U of A, anyone with a congenital defect should be referred here ; all cardiologists are equal and not all specialize in Adult congenital heart disease. Tons of patients being herded through his clinic and there is likely a reason it only takes a week to be seen. Not impressed, would not recommend at all.

I found him way more interested in lecturing about the stuff he knows rather than listening to what was really going on with me. Very very dismissive and condescending.

Dr. Fahoum treated me with respect and great care when I was ill this past winter. His staff are friendly and professional. He has never claimed to be a cardiologist to me, nor does he advertise as such anywhere in the clinic. I get the feeling he actually cares about his patients.

After being admitted to the hospital with changes to my ecg and chest pain, a cardiologist scheduled me for stress test and angiogram. Dr. (And I use that term loosely) Fahoum entered the scene and discharged me because he needed the bed for a man. I was rescheduled as an out patient and sent home. When asked about the sky high blood pressure I had, he said it would resolve itself in three months. He forgot follow ups, didn’t explain medication, said there was nothing wrong with me, said abnormal ecg ‘s were normal sometimes when questioned about my abnormal ecg. Then at one appointment told me I had obstructive cardiomyopathy, ordered medication and on follow up said I was all better, never entered the room to talk to me and dashed out with no explanation. I ended up seeing my family physician, being referred to a real cardiologist and filing a complaint with the college of physicians and surgeons. This man has no idea what he is doing.

Showed very little interest or concern when I came in, and seemelingly brushed off the notion that something was wrong-even with 3 other physicians expressing concern over my condition. Spent all of 2 minutes with me and wouldn't listen to what I had to say in my initial consult, just insisted I have an echocardiogram done and then wouldn't look at my holter monitor report which was why I was referred to him in the first place. VERY poor experience with him and would NOT recommend. He doesn't listen to what you do tell him and cuts you off mid explanation. Also very poor at staying on time-I got the earliest appt of the day and he was 25min late to that. It's seems as though he double books time slots. Only good aspect of my visits was my experience with the staff.

Staff were great, very friendly and knowledgeable! Dr was arrogant and cold. Didn't explain anything, had to call my primary to find out what was actually going on. Glad I have a nursing background because he used only medical jargon, nothing that an average Joe would understand.
