I went to Dr. Aguwa because of an irregular period. I was worried and at that point, had been bleeding for about 5 months. She didn't seem to think that was strange and sort of brushed it off when I told her I had a lot of pain as well. She told me that some women just have more painful periods and that I should try birth control. A year later, after gaining weight and becoming depressed because of the BC, I told her I wanted to find another way to regulate my periods or at least get a diagnosis. She told me that my pap smear, ultrasound, and blood tests were fine so if I wanted to stop taking the medicine, I should stop and see what happens. Now, I'm looking for a new doctor and still dealing with insane bleeding with absolutely no diagnosis. I feel like I was gaslighted into thinking I didn't have a problem or that I was making it a bigger deal than it was. I know that's wrong now but going to Dr. Aguwa seriously messed me up.
