I saw Dr. Riche for a thyroid nodule, as others have stated he bedside manner is terrible. He was not compassionate or overly friendly at all. However my biggest complaint came when I was scheduled for a FNA and called to get my out of pocket expense est. the staff was rude as though I were asking for something I had no right to. when they would not give me a straight answer I called my ins company they asked me to hold while they called and tried to get the information for me. when the ins agent came back to me she told me they refused to even give her the procedure code, she told me that was very unusual that normally this information would be provided easily to the ins company. I canceled my appt and I will be seeking a new Dr. When you are paying for a service (I have a high deductable) you should be able to get a straight answer on how much the ordeal will cost you.

Dr. Riche treated my 80 yo mom's hypothryoidism and I've never met a more thorough doctor in all my 40+ years; He was never late, we only waited a few minutes each appt. He always gave us a thorough page of notes after each visit that clearly articulated next steps. His office was extremely professional. I have a dear friend who's a nurse that had parathryoidism and she used Dr. Riche to treat with surgery. Dr. Riche would be my first choice in Pensacola.

I love Dr. Riche! Yes, he's not the most touchy-feely hold-my-hand babying type of doctor, and yes, he can be a little abrasive, but it's not like he's ever told me something that I didn't already know I needed to work on to better my health. He does come off as rushed, but I think that's just his personality bc he's never been anything other than thorough and strait-forward with me. I've never had a wait time that I thought was abnormal given the very high demand of specialists, especially endocrinologists, in the area. I actually wait longer at my child's pediatrician's office than I do for Dr. Riche. His staff has always been helpful and accommodating. 3 generations of the women in my family see Dr. Riche and we have always been satisfied with the level of care that we've received.

I've been seeing Dr Riche for over 20 years for my thyroid. I've never had the problems that the commenters have made to the negative other than him running late and this past appt I felt he was very rushed. I am quite disturbed by the religious atmosphere of the waiting room. It's just very odd in my opinion. I would not have continued with him if I didn't have confidence in him and he has always answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. His staff is not very personable. They do their job but are not all that friendly.

he has zero zero zero bedside manner and never even made eye contact with me. He took a "lets wait and see" approach. My thyroid is still running below normal 8 months later, but we are still "waiting and seeing." Wait was not bad, but he had not reveiwed anything prior to appt.

Worst Experience Ever! I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis and my PCM was not having any luck treating it so he referred me to see this endo. When I got there he was very rude, cut me off when I was answering his questions, and then told me I needed to see a dietician. I had suddenly gaind 30 pounds in the matter of a couple months, and that was motivated me to seek treatment. I eat healthy and have been very fit. Then when I asked how he was going to help me with my disease he said he wanted me to continue what I was doing, which wasn't working and that's why I was there, and then was told to come back in Eight months. Really EIGHT Months. So essentially he wasted my time. I am a nurse and I have encountered many doctors but he was the worst I have ever seen. I left his office in tears. Please don't see this man. I read the other reviews and hoped they were wrong and believe me they are dead on. Save yourself and change your refferral!

I waited over an hour in the room to see him. I had to go out and remind the nurses that I was still there. Then when he finally sees me, he hadn't even reviewed my chart. He told me all my symptoms were due to stress! Constant low grade fever and night sweats are due to stress? Definitely want to see someone else! I did not care for him at all and he got me out of there as quick as he could. Very strange office.

This was my first visit and while Dr Riche is very knowledgeable and thorough, there are several things about him that made me uncomfortable: 1-no magazines in the waiting room, only a religious tract and canned religious music. 2-he chewed gum out loud throughout the entire exam 3-He has a poor "bedside manner" and made rude remarks about one of my other doctors. 4-Without getting too specific, asked some strange, not inappropriate, but odd questions that weren't pertinent to the exam and seemed designed to elicit a response he could easily refute. 5-Lastly, he was very, very opinionated. My conclusion: Lighten up,Dr Riche, your patients will love you for it.

I guess this guy missed the classes on bedside manner. After waiting 90 minutes in the reception area I finally got to see the doctor. Before he even examined me, he's talking possible surgery to remove my thyroid. At this point I'm ready to bail. Incredibly, I was in the office three hours... all to get a simple ultrasound. I have since scheduled an appointment with another endocrinologist, as this guy seems much to quick to consider surgical options.
