Dr. Sherard is amazing. Great personality and knows her work. She cares about every single patient. Your more like family than just a patient. I was afraid to go to the dentist cause of pain but she has this method she uses that you do not feel the needles at all. She explains every thing so that her patients understand everything that she is doing and any procedure they may need done.

I highly recommend Dr. Sherard as a dentist. Not only is she very knowledgeable, but she takes the time to explain things and clearly views educating patients as part of what she does. You can really tell that she cares about her patients, and her friendly, concerned manner will put you at ease. Additionally, she is an interesting person to talk to...or listen to while your teeth are being cleaned. :-) In this day and age, it's extremely rare to find a health care provider who is so attentive and even fun, with a personal touch (she even sends cute reminder cards that she picked out herself). I get the feeling she has given a lot of thought to her philosophy as a dentist, which includes encouraging patients to be active participants in their care (at other dentists, I don't recall ever touching an instrument myself). I am genuinely sad that I've moved away from Baltimore and will not be able to go back to her office.

Dr. Sherard replaced my current dentist several years ago. She was a blessing in disguise. She was kind and funny and very thoughtful. I had no pain throughout my procedure. I have since moved from Baltimore to Northern VA and make the trip up twice a year for my checkups. I don't want to change dentists. It is well worth the trip! If in doubt you should try her out! You will be smiling before you know it.

I am not the one who usually takes time to comment on services I have received, but I must say Dr. Sherard is 1 in a million!! Absolutely phenomenal, punctual, friendly, brilliant, informative, funny and most importantly HONEST. She took her time and explained every process to detail. With her one on one patient-physician interaction I will actually take a different look with how my other physician specialists provide care to me. My husband and I have not been to a dentist in a number of years and we knew it was time to see a "great" dentist.. To cut the long story short. We found her!!! I have taken to Dr. Sherard so much that I have asked her to kindly refer other physicians that are of her nature. I am so happy I didn't take to the only negative comment on Dr. Sherard on this website site, I would have missed on a blessing in disguise.

I went from fearful of extractions to painless during extractions to able to talk during my extractions. She is fantastic. She is very attentive to patients and comforting to her patients. She helped me to trust dentists. Great dentist!!

Dr. Sherard is by far one of the best dentists I have seen in my life. And believe me, i have seen many. The person above may have had a bad experience and I am sorry to hear that. But both my wife & I have had a fabulous experience with dr. Sherard. I have always known her to gone over and beyond.

I nearly filed a medical malpractice suit on this dentist. I received a crown from her, and she seemed to have no idea what she was doing. Her assistant, the dental hygienist, did most of the work. Dr. Sherard said she had not used this particular type of material used to make the temporary crown before. The dental hygienist showered her how. Once the temporary crown was on, the dental hygienist thought it should be re-done, but Dr. Sherard said it was fine. It gave me pain every single day. I went to a total of 4 other dentists to fix what she did. The temporary and regular crown were made way too big. I was only hitting on two teeth when I shut my mouth (the crowned tooth and the one it touched). The temp crown was cemented to my other teeth so floss couldn't get in between. The root core build up broke off. Everything she screwed up cost me about $3,000 and tons of pain before it was fixed. She was new, and nice, but clearly not well trained. Don't go there!!!!
