I saw Dr Parsons last week for the first time. She got me in a few hours after a call from an emergency room doctor. I am so so grateful. She took the time to hear me, and explained every thing to me. She was understanding of the fact that I was in tremendous pain, and very gentle and thorough. She followed through on all the things she said she would do. Getting a follow up a week later, and a call from her between visit and phone follow up. I am grateful that I feel like I have a treatment plan in place, and that the pain is significantly reduced already and it’s only been a week. She even took the time to look up some supports for me.

Dr. Parsons is an ace at diagnosing skin issues. I have been a happy patient of hers for 10 years or so. Now I have left her because of the unbelievable Alberta Health booking procedures. I called last year to book my four quarterly appointments, and was unable to speak to a human! Finally, after some week, I received four separate letters all on the same day, giving me four appointments, of which only two fit my schedule. Then two days before the first of these appointments, I got another letter, rescheduling this appointment. Again, no consideration of my availability.

What a waste of Dr. Parsons' unusual medical ability, as well as of taxpayer money.

She does not have time nor desire to be helpful. Such a disappointing system.

I had a phone appointment and she was a no show (she never called me). I followed up the next day to a voice message and when I returned to my referring doctor months later I found out that she (or her assistant??) had written me up as a no show!

The doctor is very capable. Her receptionist is rude and not too bright - dangerous combination.

I have been seeing Dr Parsons for about 12 years both at the wound clinic and at her clinic at Richmond Diagnostic Centre. I have been diagnosed with hidradenitis supportiva (22 yrs )and gangranosm pyoderma( 12 yrs )- double threat. She has always been kind, helpful . Due to my complex conditions i can reach her by her email or personal phone . i use them only in case of emergencies. Her treatment has worked for me with challenges. I am grateful for her to be my doctor.

I saw Dr. Parsons for skin patch testing a couple years ago. It was done in hospital because I get anaphylactic reactions. When she put the patches on I immediately felt burning like a cigarette was being extinguished on my back. I asked her to take it off she said no that it needed to stay on. The nurses were awesome coming in and checking on me. About 30 mins after the patches were put on I started feeling swelling in my throat. The nurse took my blood pressure and got Dr. Parsons right away. My diastolic pressure was going crazy. They gave me IV Benadryl every 15 minutes and I was there for three hours. Dr. Parsons was indifferent to it but the nurses took it very seriously. I was sent home and I started getting bad swelling on my eyes and lips. When I went in for the next appointment to remove the patches I had a burn so bad in the one spot that Dr. Parsons said it would scar. Anyway, two years later and I am having worse allergies. Saw my GP and he never received a letter from Dr. Parsons about the anaphylactic reaction or the fact I was given IV Benadryl. He contacted the clinic and there were no notes on file about the event. My doctor says all he got from Dr. Parsons was a sheet saying what I am allergic to and how to avoid it, and it was full of inaccuracies. Do not go to this doctor.

Laurie needs to RETIRE! She is terrible. She diagnosed 3 different skin problems with complete INACCURACY! These isssues escalated to a terrible point and if diagnose properly never would have become serious. She is rude, indifferent and incompetent. SEE SOMEONE ELSE!
