Biography
I chose to become a doctor because I truly wanted to help serve others. My philosophy of care is to partner with patients and encourage patient involvement. I will help/assist as much as I am able, but, ultimately, the patient is in control. I am particularly interested in women's health. Outside of work, I like to spend time with family, exercise, go to the beach and hang out with friends.

Dr. Steffens is prompt, thorough, encouraging and genuinely caring. I have never felt rushed or trivialized. During a recent health situation where I was losing a lot of hair, Dr. Steffens understood the impact this was having on my self-esteem, investigated possible causes and helped me get on track to restoring my hair and correcting my underling health problems. In other general visits, Dr. Steffens has been positive and thoughtful. She is exactly what I would hope for in a primary care physician.
