DR Alexander performed an emergency appendectomy on me at Huntington Hospital. He did a fabulous job. I ended up having two more surgeries soon after his. I thought I developed a hernia on my right side. I went back to him and he performed a test in office of simple coughing, bending over ect. He said I had a hernia and offered surgery. The sad part was he was out of network. I got a second opinion and an ultrasound and the DR said it was not a hernia. Fast forward 1 year I have been living in pain, I have seen countless doctors, had costly MRIs, been in physical therapy costing hundred of dollars all to find out one year later I do have a hernia on the right side. He knew it without all the fancy tests.

Another thing is the surgeons who performed the two other surgeries after him could not stop commenting on how great his skill was and how clean the cut was.

If I cant find a DR to operate on my hernia soon I plan on changing my entire insurance policy over so I can have this Surgeon perform the surgery next year.

He is excellent. End of story.

I've had problems in this area for around 3-4 years. I was told to change my diet, etc (I did) but nothing helped. When I finally saw Dr. Alexander it took two surgeries and a year of healing, but I'm finally 100%. Can't thank Dr. Alexander enough. He was very no nonsense in his explanations, but he was also caring and reassuring. His assistant is very lovely as well. I recently changed health insurance carriers and when my new doctor examined me she said that my surgeon had done a great job!

I was putting off surgery for a long time out of fear. My problem became significantly worse and I had to do something. So I started surgeon shopping. Dr. Alexander spent a lot of time with explaining all my options and that made me comfortable. He costs a bit more than the first surgeon that I visited, but he was worth the extra fee. He did a great job on my operation.

I needed to have my gallbladder removed. I had put it off for years and delt with the painful episodes my large gallstones caused. I was nervous about the procedure because I am obese and a friend had just gone through a nightmare with her gallbladder surgery. Dr. Alexander spent time with me discussing the procedure in detail. He made me aware of any complications that might arise due to my weight. The surgery went great, I went home the same day. I never needed pain meds. I was able to walk with ease, take care of minor chores around the house and I even returned to work the next week after my staples were removed. Thanks Dr A.

I was total freaked out about having my hernia repaired. I saw a few doctors who specialize in this work around the Pasadena area. The only one who made me comfortable and confident to proceed was Dr, Alexander. He even did it robotically. I can't thank you enough. Kayla was also so help in everything. Thank you as well

Very nice physician. he did emergency surgery on me for appendicitis in the middle of the night. Great results and good follow through.

Saw Dr Alexander regarding an issue that had been bothering me and giving me much pain for months. He did a fantastic job repairing it and had me back on my feet within a few days after surgery. He's an excellent surgeon. Additionally, his office staff was very patient and compassionate with me, answering a myriad of questions I had. They made me feel calm and confident about the procedure. I went to this doctor for a consultation and was dissatisfied with the level of service I received. I paid a fee for a consultation and exam, and did not receive a thorough examination for my problem. I also didn't like the fact that he only offered me two options for treatment- for both of which he expected me to pay a lot of money out of pocket in addition to what my insurance company would pay him. He refused an option that would have been of lower cost to me, but that wouldn't have benefitted him financially- I asked for a prescription for something that would relieve my pain and discomfort and was denied. It is my opinion that this doctor was more interested in receiving money than in meeting my healthcare needs, so I wrote a review about my experience on another site. I received a scathing, harassing, offending and threatening email from this doctor threatening to sue me for "tens of thousands of dollars" for letting others know about my experience. Here are some fine excerpts from the email:
"If you can't understand that we can't do the work for free then you just don't get it"
"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT." (sic)
"In this position you might wind up paying tens of thousands of dollars in damages and legal fees. So be smart and eliminate this review. You have 10 business days from today to comply with my demand."
If you are looking for a healthcare provider for this particular specialty, ask yourself: is this the way you want to be treated if you exercise your First Amendment right to say you were dissatisfied with a physician's service? You decide.
