Dr. Oksanen is the best example of a knowledgeable, skilled physician in this century. She took admirable care of my brother William J. (Bill) Masury and now is my primary doctor, I am most confident in her ability and trust her with my life decisions/treatments. Well over the exceeding meets requirements review.

Dr Oksanen was personable, and appropriately concerned about my condition. I really liked her-only waited about 5 minutes for her, she was on time, and was just really nice. Most importantly, she took my pain seriously. I would recommend her any day. She is very smart, knowledgeable, and I trust her.

Dr. Oksanen was recommended to me by a specialist and department head and I have been seeing her for a few years now. She is extremely easy to talk to and really encourages feedback from her patients. I found her to be very through and a doctor who doesn't cut corners with treatment and her time. She always follows up with the specialists I see and discusses my overall health. I am very pleased with the care I have received from Dr. Oksanen and highly recommend her.

Don’t expect warmth, enthusiasm, kindness and compassion from this Doctor. She has a very detached nature which makes for an awkward experience. She is quick to disregard any feeling(s) or symptom(s) you may have unless or until confirmation by a lab test. If the test does not reinforce your symptom(s), you will not be treated – end of discussion. Your distress (anatomical, physiological and/or psychological) will be summarily dismissed. Shame on you, Darlene Oksanen! This Doctor may “do no harm,” but she certainly does no good, either. The Office Staff is ineffective. Prescription refills require several re-calls from the Pharmacist. The self-proclaimed “Head Office Administrator,” is an incompetent pompous ass whose job is protected by the veil of a Union Contract. This Medical Office would be better administered by The Three Stooges! Find yourself a compassionate doctor, educated and trained at a top tier medical school. Save time and avoid this Doctor and this Medical Practice.

Patient for about 3 yrs. More often than not, you will be referred to a specialist for anything more than a common cold (as she is not a very experienced physician and obviously seems uncomfortable with her diagnostic skills at this stage in her career). Be advised she will hold you prescription hostage if you do not see her very frequently - even for a chronic condition such as hypertension. Forget about a 90 day supply of prescription medication with 3 refills - that's not going to happen. Accordingly, you won't be able to qualify for the $2.99/month for generic drugs @ Walmart, etc. If you rarely get sick, have no chronic maladies, don't want or need to take prescription medications and enjoy going to the doctor very frequently, this is the one for you.

I saw this doctor for the first time a few months ago. I didn't pick her as she was the only available doctor at that time. She seemed a bit uneasy (maybe because I am male?) and it wasn't a great visit. A bit uncomfortable I guess. She also seems like a younger doctor there. I don't know if I would go back to her. Wasn't a pleasant experience for me.
