i have been to see valenzuela many times and have found her polite, caring and compassinate. it will be a great loss to medicine in ns if we let her go, i can not understand other peoples complaints but maybe the truth hurts, there are a lot of people and dr's that don't care about there health. PEOPLE LOOK AROUND THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT OF SHAPE. when something goes wrong they want a quick fix or a pill.

Dr Valenzuela gave us our baby back. After having her original surgery botched by the surgeon at the IWK, we were finally referred to Dr. V. She performed two surgeries to correct the problems left by the original surgery, and make our daughter look good again. She sees us whenever we need her, calls us at home, and genuinely cares about her well being. She has even helped us in finding the right professionals to help us with our daughters non-eye related issues. We don't know what would have become of us if she hadn't been here when we needed her, and will miss her greatly when she is gone.

I am very thankful and appreciative for the job Dr. V did. I was born with a tear duct on the outside corner of my eye. It would leak, it would get crusty, it would run down my cheek, it was just plain gross. (I couldn't wear makeup because it would run). I lived with it until the age of 31 when I was finally referred to Dr. V She removed the 'fistula', reconstructed my existing tear ducts and when the scar wasn't healing nicely, she fixed that up too. The Atlantic provinces will surely miss her. It will be a long time before we can replace her, someone else of her skill set and expertise is next to impossible to find, considering there are only a few (2-3) other doctors in all of Canada that can do what she does she will be greatly missed. And even though her wait times may seem unreasonable I would gladly wait any day of the week to see someone with her credentials and know I was being handled by one of the best.

This woman is the best! It’s a shame we are losing her! I have been suffering with a blocked lacrimal duct for 3 years before finally being diagnosed by her. She preformed the surgery, I had complications after the surgery, but she was there for every step during my recovery. She gave me her cell phone number when I was sent home after the surgery, and for the next three days she insisted I call her to monitor my progress or answer any questions. Outstanding patient care! She makes you feel like you are her top priority; it’s unfortunate that not all doctors have her sense of patient care.

Dr.Valenzuela is what I call "my angel". I am crushed that she is leaving us and I am at a loss as to what i will do without her. She is so caring, nurturing, knowledgeable, patient, always wanting to do her best. I will never have a better doctor. ???

I saw this doctor yesterday. We waited 3 hours past my appointment time & people who came after us were taken first (I live a few hours away as well). She had her mind made up about my surgery before I went in and blatantly seemed rude and as though she thought I was wasting her time. it was complete nonsense and I wouldn't let her touch me with 20ft pole.

Outstanding doctor and surgeon. She has a quality of George Clooney, in that when she talks to you, you feel the center of her attention and warmth. I have Graves Disease with eyes protruding. She puts my eyes back, makes me look normal again, and restores my self-confidence. That's a huge big deal for a person, to restore self-confidence, to not feel like hiding anymore. What a rare treasured gift the we got here in the Atlantic Canada.
