I've been a patient of Dr. Lakosha since 2017. He and his staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. He answers any questions I may have. His new office in Halifax in very nice and clean and I love that he is very punctual. I very seldom have to wait past my appointment time. I had cataract surgery in April & May, 2022 which he did in his office. He and his staff made me feel very comfortable. I had an appointment with my optometrist on June 13 who told me my vision now is 20/25 which is one down from being a perfect 20/20. Apparently it takes about 3 months for your eyes to completely clear after surgery so I expect to have 20/20 vision by September.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lakosha's since a 2015 diagnosis. He has always been available when emergent situations have come up, and has treated me with respect as I continue to visit his clinic for regular check ups. If it was not for Dr. Lakosha's help and attentiveness, I would have faced delays in other diagnosis relating to my eye that required imaging or other tests. His staff are always pleasant to speak to, although there have been more schedule shuffles as of late. Dr. Lakosha ALWAYS answers my questions about what is next, what to expect, and how best to manage my situation. He may be short and to the point, but I respect that; when facing a serious diagnosis or conversation regarding health having a matter-of-fact assessment of the situation is what allows me to best distill the information. We are lucky to have Dr. Lakosha in HRM.

Rude, condescending, uncommunicative, does not mask properly.
Clinic staff and doctor's personal assistant were polite and a pleasure to interact with. However, Dr. Lakosha is at the far end of the spectrum in regards to his attitude. He projects condescension to the point of rudeness and is uncommunicative. At this time of Covid19 awareness he wears his mask below his nostrils or below his mouth when doing close examinations. I would not recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lakosha since April 2019. After 9 hours in the emergency room and 7 specialists from different medical disciplines, he was able to diagnose my retinal obstruction (eye stroke) which led to a complete loss of vision in my right eye. With his help and follow up, I have regained 60% of my right eyesight. I still go for my annual follow up visits, and every time my experience is phenomenal. He is a great asset for all Nova Scotians and the field of Ophthalmology as a whole.
