It seems like while creating Dr. Benke, God gave him the brains but no skills on relating to other human beings. Like how do you sit 2 ft away from somebody who just found out their child will not live and then plainly say, "Get over it. You'll have another one." or "Dad, I know as a man you want to fix things and because you can't fix this child you are upset but guess what? It's too bad the sooner you except you can't fix her the better off you'll all be." Seriously Dr. Benke? Seriously?? Unless you are a complete Sociopath-narcissist how can you not understand that people are in shock and indescribable grief?? That is not the time for your little anecdotes about life. Take your insanity and shove it up your ass. Nobody wants to hear it and I swear If I hadn't been in so much grief I would have laid your ass out lawsuit or not.

My now 28 yo daughter was referred 2 Dr Benke by her pediatrician a month after birth. He has the credentials & expertise. His bedside manner was detrimental. Jenni was jaundiced & the Drs didnt know why. We had been in the hospital 4 sev weeks. He came in & asked how i was doing. I said my faith was helping & held up my Bible. He scoffed & said that will do you no good. This is what you need & he held up a copy of Dune When he gave the actual conformation of the blood test We asked would life look like 4 Jenni w/ Downs syndrome. He said she wont be as good at math as other people. He was flip. There was a young girl with hydrocephalus in the waiting room he mentioned the girl saying," she has a year or so left to live, but you know that's life." shrugging his shoulders. 28 years and this memory still stings and brings tears to my eyes. I recently watched Mystery Diagnosis and saw him there. He talks the same way, flip, with a sense of disconnect.

Great Doctor!! Very smart and great with children. Dr. Benke is a great patient advocate and makes sure your child is in good hands.

Dr Benke saved my sons life. He was the only dr out of 15 specialists who discovered my sons diagnosis. He is amazingly caring and incredibly intelligent. A wonderful man and an even better doctor!!
