Dr Kalisiak-Great doctor! I would refer him to friends and family members.

I like the guy. I've been to 2 other dermatologists, and he's the best of the three for sure.

Dr Kalisiak was 2.5 hours behind in his schedule on the day I went to see him. All the patients waiting were discussing how inconvenienced they were. When I finally was brought to a room, left waiting another 15 minutes, Dr Kalisiak popped his head in and told me that he was 2.5 hrs behind so I had 2 minutes to tell him why I was there. He quickly checked my skin, froze two things and ran out. This was last year. His office recently called me to book a follow up and I was not available for almost 2 weeks. His office staff called me 4 times during this time I was not available, leaving escalated hostile messages to call them back. When I was finally able to call them back the staff, after hearing my name, flipped out - yelling at me about how she left 4 messages etc. I was shocked at her unprofessional attitude. I told her to STOP yelling at me and tried to explain why I was unavailable but she refused to listen. I don’t know if Dr Kalisiak knows what his staff is doing to his reputation but I won’t be seeing him again to tell him because I’ve been blacklisted! I totally understand and respect the ‘no tolerance’ on abuse, but I was the one being abused! Was Dr Kalisiak worth the wait, getting 2 minutes of his time after waiting 2.5 hrs and the abuse I got from his staff? Absolutely not!

I felt valued judged and invalidated when I arrived for my first appointment and Dr. Kalisiuk had already made up his mind about me from a referal report, he talked so fast and kept reminding me that he was doing me a big favor by seeing me, how busy he is and so on and so on. After following his instructions for meds and creams he prescribed for my symptoms, I found very little relief. After each of the appointments I left feeling upset and walked on, by the way he spoke to me. I thought I was coming to him for help and answers and very definately know that I will find another dermatologist.

He was a refreshing change after previously seeing his Calgary partner. Very helpful and took lots of time to explain and made me feel like I mattered as a person. Sorry to see him move on to a new practice.

Very difficult to tell if his knowledge can compensate for everything else. He is always late, even if the waiting room is empty (if that's any indication of how many patients he is seeing while you are waiting). Every single follow-up appointment I have ever made has always been cancelled and postponed for 6 months later. He always seems to be in a rush. If you need to ask questions and have them answered, don't make the mistake of asking if he has the time, because although he can't say "no", he will indicate he's extremely busy. I don't understand why he is in such a rush each and every time I see him. Each visit, I get pamphlets on my condition... as if that compensates for not taking the time to discuss my condition at length. Ultimately, by the time the dust settles and you realize you have more questions, you're stuck waiting another year (6 momths follow-up + 6 month postponed)

For my first visit the Dr. was 40 minutes late and yet the waiting room seemed fairly empty. Follow up appt has been canceled and rescheduled twice now. Not impressed but the office staff was at least professional

Dr. Kalisiak was great! Very knowledgeable, clear and precise. I'll be going back for sure.

WHile the Dr seemed knowledgeable it took several months to get in and then he cancelled and it took several more months. Once I got in the treatment was OK, barely. As my condition got worse I was told I had to go back to my family doctor for a new referral and the receptionist told me to just get the prescription from my family dr. Do not see this guy it will be a complete waste of your time.
