Overall experience if you need an ER doctor, he is the best. He will give you prompt, courteous care and have your diagnosis accurate. He is what others should strive to be like. Then patients would stop complaining about Emergency care.

This doc is excellent. He appears to actually care about his patients. I have seen him on a couple occasions. He is very knowledgeable and courteous. While I understand that doctors cannot always see each patient quickly in the emergency room because they have more than one patient to take care of, he does his best to see patients as soon as he can without rushing the visit with each.

From my experience with this ER doctor, he is below standards. I asked him two simple questions and he could not and did not answer them. One of the questions only required a 'yes' or 'no' answer. He spoke to my spouse with courtesy, but was brief and rude with me (for whatever reason) when I tried to ask him about taking a rectal temperature and the 24/7 advice line. He kept repeating whatever he said prior and his information was contradictory. If anyone is in a real emergency and would like to live, I highly suggest they stay away from this hospital, because they might get this terrible doctor.

I had just landed on Oahu from Seattle and drove to the ED at Tripler. I saw Dr. Jerry Beckham. He was so prompt, courteous and very knowledgable. I can't say enough good things about him. He's everything you'd like a Dr. to be. He's an asset to Tripler Hospital and would be at any hospital he worked for.
