I have nor met this Doctor but I do know he agreed to se my mother this after her medical doctors became aware
She was abusing ambien and Ativan and they refuse to tontine to prescribe them for any longer. Her sister in law introduced her to Dr. Holland and she went for a couple of visits I assume to establish herself as his patient. However she hasn't been in for visit in 6 months but she still manages to get them to okay her ambien and Ativan with no office visit required!!!! At one time she even convince them to call in a strong muscle relaxant! Is this acceptable behavior for a licensed physician? What happened to first do no harm!

Dr. Holland is rude, condescending and unnecessarily cold. Given his "specialty" in psychiatry, I would certainly expect a a person to have a much better disposition with their patients. He is just far too crass to be in an area dealing with not just patients... but patients who obviously already have issues to deal with and are seeking his help for those reasons. I'm really glad I am not suicidal because I really think that if I had been, and had seen him when I did, I would have more than likely just offed myself after I walked out of his office! I would not recommend this doctor to anyone! The staff seems nice but overall, seem to be more unorganized and "ditzy" if you will; just generally not what you'd expect for medical staff. They do try and for that, I will give them credit where credit is due. As for Dr. Holland himself, forget it!

Have visited Dr Holland in excess of 6 times. He has a condescending and "holier than thou" attitude. I do not believe he has listened to a word we have said. He had his mind made up and is very inflexible. He is very difficult to discuss different strategies or medications with. Maybe this was appropriate behavior in the military but it is not appropriate nor acceptable in the private sector nor with my child. I have seen patients leave furious, in tears and over the edge after visits with him. He is quite happy to discuss his boat with you. But, is not so pleasant when you want to be a partner in your child's care and have a differing opinion in how you would like to proceed.
