Stuck by the treatment for all 4 years my insurance got messed up for 2 years I quit seeing him and went off my meds now I got my insurance back I'm 22 years old and started seeing him again and I feel 20 times better than I did when I'm on my medication than when I'm not

Did no screening at all. After first visit gave me an anti-psychotic and I took one and kicked into tardive dykinesia (spl?) - Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome: delirium, drooling, couldn't walk, lips swelled and tongue swelled: couldn't talk and could have gone into anaphylaxis. I was damned lucky I took one dose. I called emergently and he wouldn't speak to me. - Told a counselor to tell me "It wasn't the pill."!!! This guy ought to be in jail. Snide, egotistical and a pill-pusher. Exacerbated every darn med illness I have too: BP, Diabetes, Manic-Bipolar. I was rocking back and forth on the floor. This is one run-on sentence, but honestly, I am incensed this man is allowed to practice!

Dr Martelli is a pompous jerk. He was going to switch up my mess but then didn't as I begged for help with my bipolar and panic attacks. I have taken benzos for 25 years with great success but he cited some 2 wk old study and would not prescribe them.

I had some problems with meds in the beginning but hung in there .He listened and worked with me ,he never wavered from what would be the best for my pain and depression .I think most of the time we don't give the meds enough time or we don't take it right and to quick to blame the Dr.....I did............. I hung in there and went to Mayo Clinic ,the Dr at Mayo said the meds were perfect for me and he wouldn't change a thing . He has help me to be me , no the meds aren't what I want but what I needed. I say Thank You Dr. Martelli

Words can not describe how much I despise this man for mistreating me 10 years ago. It wasn't my divorce that caused me to change from a person with a great personality and a sharp, quick-witted sense of humor in to a lifeless man who rarely ever smiled and NEVER laughed for 16 months. Ultimately I lost my job of 12 years because I could no longer function and perform efficiently or competently. I moved to Arizona, began a different course of pharmacotherapy, and my improvement was almost immediate. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this M.D.

The practice appears to be more concerned with collecting your money than helping with your problem. They charged us for a "missed appointment," although we had NOT made one! They sent us to collections for $54 and it looks like we are going to court. The so-called counseling did not appear appear to be effective. The whole experience was more stressful than the original problem for which we sought counseling!

If you want to be given wrong diagnoses, too many pills, and inane attempts at Freudian analysis, see this man. Martelli took me from bad to worse and I ended up getting well on my own and with a regular therapist without his meds.

Very egotistical. Unethical, and yes, very much a pill pusher. Wanted me to return meds to him that were not used so he could 'dispose' of them.
