The worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. He was unfriendly, dismissive and rude. He seemed to determine that I didn’t have RA prior to doing blood work, hearing my symptoms and prior to doing an exam. It was a weird experience and a total waste of my time. I am seeing a different rheumatologist now who has been able to help me and I’m glad I pursued other physicians. Even without RA there are other inflammatory arthritis conditions that other rheumatologist are willing to treat. I went to this appointment full of hope and walked out feeling totally hopeless. He told me that some people with arthritis feel no pain. Well, lucky them and what did that have to do with me? I have arthritis that causes extreme pain, causes swelling, inhibits my mobility and causes severe fatigue. I hope Dr. Marmur reads his reviews and learns to treat patients with respect. I may add that I was not seeking pain medication from this doctor but was looking to see if some of the new medications available to people with inflammatory arthritis conditions would help me. I wonder if this doctors treatment of men may be better than his treatment of female patients? It would be interesting if the reviews indicated gender of patient. I have nothing to go by other than my own experience. He didn’t look at me or make eye contact throughout a very brief appointment.

Dr. Marmur came highly recommended by my general practitioner and I now have the same same opinion. He is such a gentleman, quite pleasant, very knowledgeabe, professional, and very thorough. So if you are searching for the best, your search has ended!

Very impatient, and jumped to conclusions regarding symptoms. Made light of my concern regarding possible deformation of finger joints, and did not show and explain x-rays until I asked. When I asked him about swelling and pain in balls of feet, he didn't recognize it as a symptom of RA, didn't examin my feet, and basically disregarded my complaint about the issue, and this exact symptom was shown on a chart in the exam room for RA symptoms. Extremely incensitive to the pain I described, and suggested I was depressed instead of realizing my treatment/medication was not working for me. He never considered or discussed alternative or more aggressive treatment with me. Now have a new doc with new treatment/medication, and doing very well. I would not see Dr. Marmur again.
