Dr. Young and her entire staff are absolutely amazing. Very caring and passionate. The all go above and beyond to care for your needs. You never feel rushed everything is explained to you. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone. Please keep up the outstanding work...you are all rock stars !!!!!

I scheduled an appointment for a beauty consult at Dr Young’s office . When she came in the room she immediately noticed a lesion in my face . Her words where , health comes before beauty and she suggested a biopsy. The next day I got a call to inform me that I had a Basel Cell Carcinoma, which was removed two days later. I was very impressed with Dr Young and her whole staff. Everyone was so knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate and efficient.
Dr Young’s experience made the whole surgery a walk in the park .
Here I thought that I just had a translucent pimple with so me black heads. I am very great full to Dr Young and her staff !

I’ve been seeing Dr. Young for the past 17 years. My mother took me to see her when I was 8 to check out a spot she was concerned about, we saw a couple different doctors but they all said to just watch it. We went to see Dr. young and she immediately knew something wasn’t right and she took it off and sent to get tested. Turns out it was cancerous! If it wasn’t for her I might not be here today! She does a great job, is knowledgeable and professional and I won’t go to anyone else!

Dr. Young and her staff provided outstanding care to my husband. We were vacationing when our dermatologist phoned us to let us know my husband required further care. I located Dr. Young over the internet. I called her office where a very understanding nurse and a receptionist scheduled my husband's office visit and possible surgery to accommodate our scheduled time to be in the Rapid City area. Dr. Young worked my husband into her schedule and saw him 4 days in a row. His skin cancer was much more invasive than anyone realized and both of us thank God that she provided such excellent care.

I have had Dr. Young as my dermatologist for 15 years and have found her to be very thorough in her exams looking for suspicious spots that may be skin cancer. Not all skin cancers are big or brownish black in appearance. I have had 5 skin cancers removed (one of them was melanoma), and all have been small, pinkish spots. In addition to being thorough, Dr. Young and all of her staff are very caring and professional.

Dr. Young is very caring and professional. She insisted I get a small mole looked at and was very concerned about it. It was a melanoma and I am very thankful Dr. Young noticed it and insisted I get an appointment. It was on my list to get looked at and I am so thankful that Dr. Young noticed this small dark spot and insisted I see her. Several more small spots were removed after a full body scan. Thank goodness for Dr. Young and her dedication to her field . I know she has helped others with her observations. She is a passionate, caring physician and I am thankful to have her for my dermatologist! She also has a wonderful, caring staff. Thank

I had never been to a dermatologist before and figured it was probably time to get checked. Dr. Young removed 5 different moles and one came back as malignant melanoma. Talk about scary! Julie Krein called me with the news and she was so compassionate and took the time to explain everything and even told me that I, or husband, had any questions, we could call her back anytime. On the day of the procedure, Dr. Young and Julie were amazing. They made this very scary process not quite so scary. Thank you so much!

I'm so pleased with the professional and personal attention that I receive at Black Hills Dermatology. It is a beautiful welcoming place with staff that are knowledgeable and so very helpful. Recently I went to see Julie Krein, NP, about a suspicious looking mole on my back. She shaved it, sent it to Pathology and within three days I received a call from Julie saying that the mole was an invasive malignant melanoma. She took time to fully explain the pathology report and the steps of treatment. I was back in a few days to have the melanoma removed by Dr. Vassilia Young. The doctor and nurses were exceptionally compassionate and personable. I truly felt I was in the best hands possible. I have complete confidence and a deep appreciation for Dr. Young and staff.
