I have been a patient of Black Hills Dermatology for years at their Spearfish Office. I have appointments on a regular basis for black diamond treatments and for pre-cancer screenings. The staff at this office is outstanding and Danielle is the BEST. She found a cancer spot above my eye and sent me to Dr. Young in the Rapid City office where they do moh removal procedures . It was scary because it was right under my eyebrow-above my eye. At first Dr. Young thought I could be scarred after the procedure but because she was so meticulous about the removal of the cancer the scar blends right into my eyebrow and she was able to remove all of the cancer with one procedure! I've seen her for mole removal which only one has a scar to it out of six but I trust her ability so much I am currently going back to Dr. Young to have my two small tattoos removed as well. So far- so good, they are fading with each treatment. I am a patient of Dr. Young's for well over six or seven years and I have seen her for countless things. Dr. Young has outstanding staff and gorgeous offices. I will be a patient of hers for years to come as well!

Dr. Vassilia Young is a highly professional and dedicated dermatologist. As a patient, it has been my experience that she is acutely aware of preventative measures to avoid unnecessary procedures while at the same time cautiously thorough when surgery is needed. She was also very considerate in planning a time for the procedure that caused minimal impact on my busy law practice schedule. I highly recommend her as a dermatologist.

Dr. Young has been my physician since I was very young. I grew up in Rapid City so many of my friends and their families have been treated by her and are still being treated by her. I don't trust any other dermatologist to provide me with the care and expertise she has provided me over the years. In fact, if I need to be treated I come back to Rapid City so I can see her (I've moved away now). Every time I come in she provides me with all the information I need to solve any potential/current problems. I've had many severely dysplastic moles that she discovered early and removed immediately. She always notifies me of the latest technologies in skin care and is eager to provide those services if I so choose. I have never felt pressured to receive expensive treatments or take dangerous medications as she is also open to certain holistic approaches. She is blunt but if you follow her advice you will never be disappointed. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Young has been my family's Dermatologist since I was very young (from age 9 - now I am 28). She has always been professional, kind, and trustworthy. She is the expert I continue to use, when I am able, even though I moved away from Rapid City years ago. I only trust other Dermatologists if she concurs with their diagnosis and method of treatment. Over the years I have had several moles removed. While I can't speak for the other reviewers here who commented negatively, her skill and care with my removals has always been exemplary. Having had 8 or 9 moles removed, I have 2 tiny scars that are barely noticeable, though I will take those over melanoma any day of the week! I highly recommend her to patients of all ages. Her genuine care, infectious laugh, and warm demeanor set her apart from nearly every other doctor I have ever met (Doctors who don't even ask your name or care to get to know you - you are just a chart full of symptoms to them.) Dr. Young and her staff set the standard for proper patient health and care. I will continue to use her for all of my skin care needs.

I have been a patient of Dr. Young's since she started practicing in Rapid City. I am now 63 years old and really appreciate all the care she has given my skin. She has removed moles, treated various rashes, cellulitis, and given me anti-aging advice and treatment. (sunscreen is the best anti-aging treatment you can give yourself). I have trusted her to treat my children who have presented with a variety rashes, eczema, and acne. I have always found her to be a warm and concerned physician who is highly skilled as a Dermatologist. She has a friendly caring personality. I am very pleased with my skin and did ask her to inject some filler and botox about two years ago. Again, I was impressed with her skill and drive to get the best look for your individual face. She is very careful to give you a natural look that is not overdone. I would encourage you to make an appointment and ask her advice. She is someone that you can trust and depend on. I have been a patient of Dr Young for the last 15 years. During these years I have had noumerous cases of skin cancer such as basal and Squamous Cell Carcinomas. Dr. Young has successfully treated them, leaving absolutely no signs of the surgical procedures. She is a very caring and compassionate physician, with a very skilled and caring staff, sharing the same values and principles possessed by Dr. Young.
