I recommend everyone go to Dr Minjarez for a consult at the very beginning of your fertility treatment journey. I found her very good at explaining all the processes of various treatment options. She zeroed in on the primary issues for us and explained the trade-offs in different approaches. She was not salesy and provided very good value in the meeting. She also struck me as nice, intelligent, caring, and good humored with a superior understanding of all the medical issues.

It was truly a blessing having Dr. M as our doctor. She was so warm and sweet and was very through in her care. Because of her we were able to get pregnant with our miracle baby on our very first ivf attempt and we are now patents to an amazing, perfect baby girl. We could not have been happier with her.

At CCRM in 2008 and 2011 we were assigned to Dr. Debra Minjarez for egg retrieval procedures. Dr. Minjarez caused anxiety by delaying the egg retrieval procedure as well as not following normal protocol by allowing nurse(s) to wear makeup and wheeling me to the operating room fully awake. Thankfully we were assigned to Dr. Eric Surrey for egg retrievals twice in 2009 and again in 2011 to recognize wrongdoing was done by Dr. Minjarez. Unfortunately, our IVF doctor, Dr. William Schoolcraft, chose to ignore Dr. Minjarez's behavior even after complaining to him in 2009. He claimed all of CCRM's doctors "work as a team". Consequently, IVF doctors can use science and psychology to their advantage, causing patients to be victims by being retaliated against when complaining.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Minjarez and the wonderful CCRM staff at Colo. Blvd. and 12th. She is a very warm, caring doctor, and knows exactly what she is doing. After 3 years of fertility issues and trying other doctors, she had us pregnant within 6 months. She and her staff never kept me waiting for longer than 5 min for a scheduled appointment, and went out of their way to respond to emails and calls on off hours. We felt like we were in great hands the whole time, and we were.

Dr. Minjarez is the most amazing doctor I've ever met. She was really able to see a story in my medical data and offer a path forward. However, you get about an hour with her. I spent the rest of my time under the staff's "care". I felt quite alone going thru this experience which was totally new to me and a little hard on my body. I worked with Lisa, who was never forthright in what I was to undergo and never forthcoming with the effects of new drugs on my body. For example, I always get an LH surge, but she kept pushing the "trigger shot," which, incidently, costs a lot of money. I saw a different PA every time I went through IUI, who never seemed to have my latest medical information. Finally, they kept charging me for things they didn't tell me I'd have to pay for and would not bill my insurance for items my insurance covers. I felt safe with Dr. Minjarez, but that was all negated by the rest of the staff; I just don't trust them.

I'm in my early 40s and started trying recently after recovering from a serious illness that affected my stress and sex hormones. I spent 2 hours filling out the forms and on our first visit with Dr. Minarez, it was obvious she didn't read them. When I brought up our biggest issue (my husband's issue) she dismissed it. (We got help from someone else and solved it.) Over the next month, I only dealt with Lisa Bailey her nurse. Lisa was very nice and professional, but I asked too many questions for her almost none of which she could answer. I felt like I was a cog in their wheel and they ignored my specific issues. After a month, Dr. Minarez told me since my AMD level was <0.1 (possibly 0), I had an ice cube's chance of getting pregnant, including a <10% w/IVF and that we should pay her $40k for a donor. The delicious irony was I was pregnant when she told me that (and only after 6 tries!)The moral of the story: Acupuncture works. I had two: one for endocrine and one for fertility.

I had two failed IVF cycles in town before deciding to go out of state to Dr. Minjarez. My first consult put me at ease during a very tough time emotionally and physically for me. The staff is excellent, I was always seen on time and with compassion. I dealt with my nurse more than Dr. Minjarez but when I did meet with her I never felt rushed, had all the time I needed to ask questions and def felt as though she cared. Any additional questions I had went through my nurse but she would ask the dr and get back asap. Very happy to report I am now four months pregnant with twins...something i had started to believe would never happen. At my previous clinic first cycle I had one day 6 blast, second cycle i had 2 day 5 blasts, and this time around I had 6 blasts! So have four more waiting for me. The drs at this clinc and the clinic itself are superb!

A very sterile/clinical environment and the nurse assigned to me was very lackadaisical. If I hadn't stayed on top of the process myself, I probably would have missed many of the procedures since timing is critical. Dr. Minjarez was very knowledgeable and professional, but I only met with her twice in the year I was under her care. The nurse is the reason for the less than stellar rating. I also felt like there was a lack of compassion and I realize that this is a job, but if you can't even fake compassion, perhaps working for a different company in a different position would be more appropriate.

Husband and I made an appt with Dr. Minjarez after trying for several years to get pregnant. She came highly recommended. We were not happy. 1st she was over an hr late and didn't seem to care. 2nd, it was clear she didn't take 2 minutes to read over the health questionnaire we completed. If so she would have known I have PCOS. 30 min into our 1 hr appt, she had an epiphany-I think you have PCOS. I looked at her with a blank stare, and told her I already knew that. She didn't seem phased and continued to tell me all about PCOS. We paid good money to be told something we already knew. She ordered a full workup. When I asked for specifics, she was very vague and said the nurse would walk me through it. The nurse/office mgr were not nice and treated us like cattle. I came back by myself for a U/S and bloodwork. Office mgr said I would receive a call to talk to me about results. Never happened. Cancelled future appts. They may be the best, but patients still need to be treated with respect

I did IVF with her in 2006, surgery in 2009 and I cannot say enough good things about Dr.M. It is 2011 and I was just telling a friend who is having trouble getting pregnant about her. What can I say? She is empathetic. She listens. She is a sleuth when it comes to figuring out the problem. Told by my docs in STL that I had PCOS Dr went in and ruled that out, found a blood disorder no other doctor found, and found so many other things that other docs across the country missed. In my opinion, the best fertility doctor in the country. Also her whole staff from nurse ruby to the receptionist just seems to be an excellent team.
