I love. Dr Child's!! I had him as a child and now my children do too. He is a household name! Hes a brilliant doctor who is so compassionate to thee children. I would not go to another pediatrician! His staff is great esp Elaine. Dr is a funny guy but on the same bottle explains to the parents everything! His visits are never short. His waiting room tends to be king bur every Dr waiting room is. It is expected. Thank you Dr child's!!

Dr. Childs was against ear tubes when I was a kid. I went 13 years with extensive ear infections. By the time I was 13 I was partially deaf in one ear. PPOs made a presence at that time so I was able to go to an ENT specialist to get tubes at 13. So much damaged occurred to my ears from chronic infections that I required major surgery for a benign tumor. Now 33 years old, I am left with poor hearing for the rest of my life. Dr. Childs was the only peditrician in the Hazleton Area while I was growing up and while some others have popped up here and there over the years, there aren't many choices. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone given my perosnal experience. However, those of you who are no longer children need to find primary doctors - you are taking much needed appointments by new parents who need pediatricians. Dr. Childs is not accepting any new patients.

I am too old to see Dr. Childs because I am no longer a child, but as an infant he diagnosed me with a serious disease that most people go a long time without diagnoses and get sick and die. He is by far the best primary care doctor I have ever had. He spends adequate time with all patients this is why there are long waits, also everyone goes to him so this adds the time. Cheers for Dr. Childs!
