Dr Chaney is an excellent and well-informed pediatrician. I have a special needs daughter with many medical issues and not only was Dr Chaney knowledgeable about her situation and risks involved, she is caring and supportive of the family as a whole. When my daughter was ill she would call us on her own time to make sure everything was ok. Bayside Pediatrics as a group is one of the best in Annapolis, in addition to the doctors they have great nurses and support staff - they have cared for our children from birth to adulthood, and we would recommend them without reservation.

Dr. Cheny is nice, but talks fast and seemed to rush us. When asking her about vaccinations she incorectly stated the basic science regarding organinc vs. inorganic mercury compunds. When I asked if she was positive about her information, I explained that I understood it differently. She cut me off when I was in the middle of my question and stated that she was positive and was sure that her medical training exceeded mine (which it does). However, I just checked the American Academy of Pediatrics and they don't agree with Dr. Cheney's understanding of mercury compounds and how they relate to human consumption. She has the best intentions but has little time or teolerance for parents and their basic concern for their children. In my opinion her bedside manner is poor. She should be more informed on what she injects into children especially when the CDC, FDA, AMA and EPA do not agree on the safely of these producs.

Dr Chaney is an excellent physician who really takes time to listen to her patients (and their parents!) We switched to this practice from one that we were not happy with, and we have not regretted the change one bit. She always remembers us when we come in, despite her high case load. She never seems rushed, and always answers whatever questions we have. She also tends to look at the family as a whole. When we brought our newborn son in for a checkup, she talked to us about how his arrival was affecting our toddler as far as behavior, potty training, etc. I would recommend her (and Bayside Pediatrics as a whole) to anyone looking for a pediatrician. The staff has always been courteous and helpful as well, and doctors and staff are very good about returning calls.
