Dr Alper has been an enormous help to my son for several years both in regard to medications as well as great empathy in discussions during regular appointments as well as between appointments. He is a very good listener and the progress my son has made in these years under his care has been so valuable and meaningful. We could recommend Dr. Alper wholeheartedly.

Dr Alper is a highly intelligent doctor who studied psychiatry, neurology and most importantly pharmaceuticals. This is truly beneficial especially for any person in crisis. He takes no short cuts when you need to be diagnosed properly. My daughter went to a doctor who only made her situation worse by not properly diagnosing her and not prescribing the right medications for her. Her situation was complicated due to a seizure disorder and brain surgeries. On my daughters first visit with Dr Alper we sat for at least an hour going over all our concerns. During this time he carefully studied my daughter and her behaviors. Dr Alper instructed my daughter to stop all medications that were prescribed by the other doctor and start taking what he prescribed. In a mater of two days there was a significant difference. He has even supported me and gave me strength to deal with my daughters issues. He returns my calls immediately no matter what day or time it is to make sure my daughter is alright. We have an enormous amount of respect for Dr Alper. He is truly amazing and loved by us!

Dr. Alper did, in fact, save my life. Nearly 8 years of being misdiagnosed and improperly medicated took a heavy toll and literally crushed my will to live. Being the exceptional diagnostician that he is, Dr. Alper did not readily accept the laundry list of prescriptions and diagnoses that I came in with. He was the only psychiatrist (and sadly, there were many,) to start from scratch and seek out what was really underneath the mess that walked into his office in 2010. This is a RARE quality. I live a good life now instead of a 24/7 crisis. Dr. Alper is professional, respectful, replies to my emails and calls swiftly. He is there when I need him. I am not in the habit of recommending doctors but I have recommended him and will continue to do so with complete confidence.

I'll get straight to the point, Dr. Alper is an absolute life saver, literally. I believe that if not for him things wouldn't be going as well for me as they are. I can't stress enough that he listened to me instead of waiting for me to say a key word that would trigger another Dr. to pull out their prescription pad and write me a script because that key word relates to a specific medicine. I wouldn't waste time looking around and trying to find another Dr. that fits, Dr. Alper will definitely impress you from the moment you meet him.
I don't know if he reads these but if so, I want to say thank you Dr. Alper !

I was extremely lucky to have found Dr. Alper. He did something that none of my previous Psychiatrists did...he listened. He asked me questions, actually listened to my responses and and developed a plan to transition me onto the right medication.

Dr. Alper has in-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology. He has a natural empathy for persons with mental health issues and intuitive understanding. He is kind and yet not patronizing. He takes as long as it takes to talk to a patient. He, as the review below says cautious with medications.
