My child was born at 34 weeks on a Saturday evening. Obgyn was too lazy to call him in. Said child was healthy and ultrasound dates were way off. Child was breech and sacral dimple with family history of Spina bifidia. Dr didn’t do any testing or ultrasound. Played with his legs shoved a finger in his mouth then shook my hand on that Tuesday when the nurse could finally convince him to come literally as we were putting him in car seat.

Dr. Messenger is great! Helped me rule out why my daughter was breaking out in rashes. He didn't give up until we got down to the end of it. And was amazed at how good her skin looked!

I recently saw Dr. Messenger about my son to determine if he had a peanut allergy or not. I found him fantastic with my son (who's 2 and very active) and he explained everything out about the allergy to me, tested for the allergy, and then gave me some take home info and a prescription for the epipen. His office waiting room is definitely kid friendly and so are the clinic rooms - he's very caring, we liked him!

I have seen Dr Messenger for both my children for different issues and have found him to be very helpful, will listen and doesn’t want to put children on medication as first line thing to try. Couldn’t ask for a Dr or staff that makes children feel comfortable.

This doctor is not the doctor to see. I took my son to see this doctor because he was the doctor that my family doctor sent a referral to for my son attention spans and sometime disruptive behaviour. 20 minutes of me doing a questionnaire and him asking my son some basic question he diagnosed my son with adhd . He told me my son was on the high spectrum of ADHD and that he would more than likely have to be medicated. After 3 medications we finally found one that worked. Teachers were seeing great changes and I was noticing a more calm and compliant child.. The problem was he was giving him a quick release that was wearing off and my son was becoming irritable. I asked him if my son could be put on the long acting medication. He told me it wasn’t recommended for children. I said well that’s strange because I know multiple children that take the same medication and they are patients of yours. He told me that every case was different and that my son wouldn’t benefit. He switch my sone to vyvance . A new medication that was all the rage. I went to fill this medication and my pharmacist said to me . What’s this . I thought the other medication was doing wonders. I said it was but it was wearing off. She told me that this medication was on the whole other spectrum of adhd medications . It targets the whole other part of your brain and if the other medication worked then this wS not going to be a help to my son. I did as the doctor prescribed and gave him the new medication . This medication would make my son vomit. 30-40 minutes after taking it he would vomit. I called his office and he said try giving it to him in a spoon instead of capsul with yogurt. Still my son would vomit. So I called again and he told me that I hadn’t givin it enough time. I told him that my son was refusing to take it cause it made him sick. He told me I would have to keep trying that he wanted him to continue the month. I couldn’t get my son to take it and his behaviour became worse. I explained to the school. They wrote a letter after I told them what was happening on my sons behalf or so I presumed. Dr messenger Once again changed my sons medication back to his one that worked with the same dosage that did not but also added a new medication respirating. This medication changes my sons behaviour completely. He became very aggressive, argumentative and distructive. I told the dr about what was happening and he told me that he had tried all he could do and that my son needed further treatment and this medication would stablize his mood until we could get him other services . I said what are u talking about my sons was doing great what is happening . My son went from a child that was over active and somewhat restless to a child that was putting holes in my walls and scaring my neighbors of 10yrs. Within a week I had cps At my door cause of multiple complaints. The sent someone into my home to monitor my son . I was advised that I had to give my son the medication prescribe. I told them that I believe it was causing my sons behaviour . They told me it was impossible cause this respiradone should have made him calm. They observed my sons behaviour for the next week and removed my sons from my home stating he was a danger to his little brother. My son was gone for months . During this time he had the police called on him multiple times . He was destructive aggressive , abusive even. Still he continued this medication. He started only being able to go to school a couple of hours a day to not at all. He is back home now and has to continue going to school only a couple hours because of recommendation but I have had my son off of all medications and back in my home and I haven’t had one complaint or police officer called to my home. Explain this!!!!!!. My family has been so deeply effected by this . All of this started because he was restless at his desk and not always paying attention and teachers thought he should see someone. There was very few kids medicated for their behaviour when I went to school. We went did what we were told or there were repucussions . Now they want a medication to sedatate a child to be more manageable to fit their ciriculum instead of fitting the ciriculum to the child. Short handed or understaffed . What happened
