I have been a patient for 26 years. He is a wonderfully knowledgeable kind cardiologist. Never too busy to answer all my questions. He has been there for me thru 3 open heart surgeries and I have always felt safe and confidant in his care. However, it saddens me that Susan left and his wife is now the "gate keeper". She is horribly rude to me and other physicans. I can never get in to see him any longer as SHE decides who gets an appointment.

I have a question for Dr. Meldrum. What would be a reasonable time frame that one would expect results from the lab to be read by the doctor that ordered them? Let me tell you, what it not acceptable. A month!!! Because of you and the family doctor not even looking at the liver test results that you ordered, there is a very sick lady in the hospital now (has been for 2 weeks), who in a more disciplined routine, probably wouldn't be in the condition she's in. So tell me, how long is the normal wait time to get results for a test?

I've been a patient of Dr. Meldrum for many years. He's knowledgeable, through & informative, although sometimes flipant! Can't say the same for his staff. Susan almost always kept him on time. Now he's NEVER on time. My time is WORTH SOMETHING!!! Waiting sometimes an hour is UNACCEPTABLE!!! His wife/part time receptionist/office "boss" is rude, ill informed & lacks "people skills". No wonder Susan left & he now has such a turn over in staff.

His receptionist is friendly in person, but good luck on the phone! He is a wonderful, patient, and professional Doctor, who answered many questions thoroughly and referred me to all the right specialists.

Seems like a good doctor. Very friendly and knowledgable. I have never been able to figure out why a doctor must keep his patients waiting over an hour beyond their appointed time though. It's not necessary and could be avoided by allowing more time between.

I have been his patient for almost 30 years. I had seen him many years ago yet he still remembered me. A very nice and pleasant doctor who listened to my concerns and explained everything I asked professionally. I felt comfortable with him as a doctor. His staff might be a bit of a pain but they don't make receptionists like they used to. I prefer to judge a doctor by HIS/HER merit not by the staff, and he is a very good doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Meldrum for over 26 years. He is an outstanding cardiologist; knowledgeable, understanding and extremely personable. He has always been attentive, patient and never too busy to hear about my symptoms. He is informative and always spends time with me to ensure that I understand. His only downfall is the new staff. I was told that he would call if he thought he wanted to see him. She is extremely rude and does not have any idea about patient care.

Dr. Meldrum is excellent and I would highly recommend him to anyone with cardiac issues. He runs a little late sometimes but that is because he takes the time to listen to his patients, hear and understand their concerns before he begins to speculate on a diagnosis. He saved my life.

Very Poor service at visit and after from staff (bridgeland location). It was over an hour wait to see the doctor, although once I met him he was quite attentive but was not able to diagnose my condition and referred me to another specialist. When I called to try and see or talk to the doctor again about questions I had, his nurse/receptionist decided I didn't need to see him and cancelled my appointment. She was even rude to my pharmacist! Be sure to ask all questions at your visit because it is very hard to get follow up questions answered.
