I went in for one extraction and he pulled five teeth. I was in a very vulnerable time in my life and the anesthetic had me short of breath and with a pounding heart and he took advantage. He gave me zero after-care instructions . He was in a rush to leave the office and was dressed in golf clothes so I assume he had a tee-time he wanted to get to.

Dr. Honke is now retired from his practice, and I just wanted to comment on his many years of dedicated, knowledgeable, professional, and caring service to the community. His kindness and extraordinary care were simply unmatched. I know that that dedication to patients will carry on in his excellent staff and in the wonderful new doctor he has chosen to replace him. Thank you Dr. Honke and staff for everything you've done over the years!

I do NOT recommend Dr.Honke. Staff: friendly enough. Punctuality: Late. Helpfulness: very in extracting more money from you as well as your teeth! Knowledge:very. Long story short, had to wait, he tried to upsell to 'fix' my teeth which are great! Had three fillings. He and his assistant left a big piece of gauze in the side of my mouth which I did not discover till after the freezing wore off. I could have choked!! Well oiled machine - money, money, money!! Run!

After he replaced a silver filling with a white filling I had significant pain. First he, tried changing the bite but it did not stop the pain. He told me it was due to my marathon running?? Seriously?? When I said that I wished the weekend was longer, he said that women like spending more time at home than a man, in fact I had biked 150km and ran a 22 km traing for a full Ironman! In the end he pushed me to whiten my teeth and have them shaved down because my front teeth were rough...I asked him how this would fix the pain in my back molar. Then he added the two second test to the "next" appointment rather than do immediately. His assistant then followed me to reception where she tried to book the appointment for me, I told the receptionist that I would not be booking the cosmetic appointment, the assistant told me they were trying to save me from a root canal! Turns out that is what I actually needed!

I find him expensive, very pushy on treatments and uncaring. I have had several unpleasant experiences, and kept going back only because I was scared to try someone else. He insists on cleanings every 6 months - not necessary and NOT covered by my plan like his staff insisted (I ended up paying). He rushed through an exam because he needed to get to his flight south to play golf (which he bragged about as he gave my teeth a cursory once over). He adamantly insisted that I have ALL my wisdom teeth pulled at once immediately, despite a lack of any pain or any problems with them. He completly brushed aside the fact that that I was a new (and nursing!) mom to twins at the time and didn't care that having surgery at that time would be incredibly difficult for me and interfere with breastfeeding. in my opinion, he overstated the severity of the situation with my wisdom teeth to try and convince me to have the surgery when I questioned the necessity of it. I will not bo back.

My appointment was for 2:00pm.I was seated in the reception area, I watched as as two employees chatted about their pets and exchanged pictures on their phones. At 2:23 the employee who had dominated the conversation walked over and said come with me.I was seated in a chair with my coat on and my purse on my lap she informed me she was going to take x-rays.I made the mistake of asking why we did not start this sooner. At this point I was informed this was a fun office and I did not seem very fun.I was also informed she just got a new puppy last night, their was a death in the family of someone she new and she had not had a break all day. At this point she decided that she would not take my x-rays since in all her thirty years in the business she had never met anyone so rude.I had not said a thing during this unprofessional tirade.I decided it was time for me to leave at Reception let me know she was the Dr's ass Colleen. All Colleen was missing was a pencil in her hair and a wade of gum.

Money hungry. All he sees are dollar signs and ways to earn that cash. Don't entrust your teeth to him. Extracted 4 wisdom teeth at once. Severed nerve of left side. No feeling to date. In hindsight, should have sued! And as I sat in the dental chair right after extraction, he wanted to file down the remaining teeth to improve the look of the smile! Talk about unethical and being money driven. My friend went in for cleaning, ended up with root canal. He was offered teeth elongation to improve his smile. Turned it down. Said he was already married, and his wife loves his smile just the way it is! Run from this guy!

Several years ago - my dentist was retiring and told me I needed one extraction. At that time, he shared an office with Dr. Honke, but didn't suggest that I see him. I should have guessed that he wasn't keen to recommend Honke, but I didn't think of that until much later. In any case, once under the effect of the drugs, with my heart racing and feeling light-headed, he kept telling me that I needed more teeth pulled until - in the end, he had pulled 8 teeth. He seemed rushed, did not give me any specific instructions on how to care for my mouth after all these extractions and raced out of the office like he was going to a fire. I suspect he was headed for the golf course, by the way he was dressed. I'm sure my session with him paid for his membership that year. I found him unfeeling, rushed, money motivated and self-serving. I have always regretted that I didn't take him to court or at least, complain to the Dental board. I was not in a very good emotional place at that time.
