Been seeing him at mental health for several years. Has only been on time once in all that time, and waited 3.5 hours once as he was running late as usual. However, i wouldn't trade him for anything. A great guy.

Dr. Smith is very excellent and cares about everybody who wants help or wants to help themselves ... This last comment made before mine is how do you know about him and alcohol or having affairs if you know so much gossip...Go write for the National Enquire .

Although Dr. Smith is 'time-challenged', primarily due to an incredibly hectic schedule, he is a caring and extremely knowledgeable psychiatrist. Though he has been practicing for a good number of years, he maintains a compassionate manner. He is my doctor, and is extremely professional , but he truly seems to be invested in your well-being. He has gone above and beyond, in many instances, to insure the best treatment options be available to me. He has been a 'rock' in some very stormy episodes of my life - a great doctor. A bonus - his long-time office manager/receptionist, Bev, is absolutely lovely - very friendly and caring.

I have been seeing Dr Smith for 17 years. He has seen me through a lot of trauma and many deaths of family members. He is always there for you. Since cutting back at the hospital he is seldom as late as he used to be. He is a very kind and helpful Dr who listens to you and works with the family dynamics to keep you healthy. Awesome

Excellent. Knows his 'stuff' ! Dr Smith's best qualities for me are: Very practical, not sugar coating his comments, yet presented in a realistic manner. Very up to date on medications. Every time I leave a session I am filled with hope - again realistic suggestions/meds/encouragement/etc. Will be a big loss for this community when he retires.

Dr. Smith has been my psychiatrist for well over 20 years and is always late but you take the good with the bad. He is an excellent doctor and very caring. I hope he doesn't retire soon because I always know he is there for me. I rate him a 5. The staff are always polite and efficient. 5 for them as well.

He is very smart and understands human behavior very well. I have had other counsellors before but he is the best by far. He is worth the wait in the waiting room.

He treats his patients with respect and dignity. He isn't usually on time but he gives each patient as much time as he can. He genuinely listens and cares about his patients. He is a dedicated down-to-earth human being.

Grant's a great guy. Late 99.9% of the time, but well worth the usual 2-3 hour wait. He spends time with each of his patients and truly cares.

Dr Smith has been my doctor for several years now. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring. I agree, he is rarely on time. This man tries to juggle his practice, his work at mental health and the emergencies that seem constant at the hospital. So we all wait for him to arrive at the office. There are many new psychiatrists in Kelowna, yet no one is willing to move to a new doctor, so I suppose we will continue to wait for the best. Dr. Smith takes time with his patients, he does not merely write out a presciption and push you out the door. If your reason for seeing Dr. Smith is merely for medication, he is not the doctor for you. So while he is rarely on time I am giving him a 5 -because I know he is as on time as he can possibly be.
