Dr. Bloom has been a huge support for me. He is responsive and caring. He doesn't over medicate like some psychiatrists do and takes the time to be sure that dosages are correct. I read the last evaluation of Dr. Bloom and felt compelled to write this review to show what a good practitioner he really is.

Terrible doctor-in insomnia specialist with no clue about insomnia, a lack of understanding of basic insomnia and the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. There are far better doctors out there who don't try to force absurd diagnoses upon patients or insist upon unnecessary follow up visits.

Dr. Bloom has been a wonderful, caring doctor who has helped me through a major life crises precipitated by a divorce. He is very responsive by phone (always calls back by the end of the day) and even tried to accomodate with emergency appointments when necessary. I highly recommend Dr. Bloom.

Wielded a bipolar diagnosis at me before I walked in the door, based on my sole report of insomnia. He handed me articles about it at the beginning of our meeting, before interviewing me. I am a mental health professional myself, and I was horrified at his unbelievably false assessment. I don't meet diagnostic criteria - not even close. Horrified, I verified my Primary Insomnia diagnosis with two other (more famous) psychiatrists. Bloom practices bad medicine. I went to him because I didn't know him. I didn't want initially to go to any of the many psychiatrists I know professionally so I could keep my personal life separate. Big mistake. On the plus side, he is kind and responsive when you call him back.
